last night's ep was like a nod to 'lost' of old.
hurley had a lot to do with that - who doesn't ♥ the guy?
so i'll get out my gripes early - i didn't care for cheech marin or the whole plotline. i'd be pissed too if my dad came back after 17 years without so much as a phone call and admits that he wants your money. but wait, he really just cares after all. ???
and the sawyer/kate interaction - i'm with
isis2015 - i hate when she calls him 'james' as well. like she's pissed he was using an alias. um, weren't you annie AND maggie AND monica? i'm just saying.
but the rest was so awesome, it totally made up for the lack of any real plot. "little miss sunshine" meets "lost"! and if you haven't seen it already, go
here. so awesome!
beach people, i missed you. sayid, you are still pretty. locke, you were kind of annoying, but hi! good to see you again! and danielle!
loved, loved, loved, the whole hurley/sawyer/jin/charlie storyline fixing up the vw bus. definitely added some much-needed levity to a pretty intense season. and charlie wasn't even that annoying!
sawyer was all kinds of awesome. ladies, please join me in welcoming back the blue shirt *loves* and hurley and jin hugs! and teaching jin how to handle his woman. his line about there not being any hope on the island made me want to cuddle him, so the payoff when they all had a little joyride was that much more fabulous. and i thought the end was very in character - he longs to be with the group (especially after his positive interactions all through the show) and thinks about sharing his beer with them, but his self-defense mechanisms kick in and he ends up by himself. self-sabotage, thy name is sawyer.
all in all, a great ep - a nice throwback to season one, where hurley was busy setting up the golf course.
