What about a notarized letter from GOD? Would that work??!

I went through all sorts of hell today attempting to claim my maiden name on various government documents. Also notable in this story is that both my license and my license plate were expired ( the license plate I just forgot, the license I was waiting to get done when I was moved and had my divorce papers so I could get all the changes made at ( Read more... )

Changing back to your maiden name is such a fucking hairy pain in the ass, but for me it was worth it. I still have hyphenates on some of my paperwork... Lyons-Shapiro. *shudder* I'm finishing that shit up just this week with my credit cards. Yes, this week. 3 full years later ( ... )

I LOVED this comment. Thanks for it.

For some things, I'm not really worried about my last name. I'm about to pay off my one and only credit card ( PRAISE GOD!! ), so I'm not worrying about that... At one time in my life I had seven cards. I can only imagine how hellish that is!

When are you visiting Memphis again? We kinda have more in common that we used to. It would be beneficial ( for me ) to know another young person with MS. It scares me sometimes having a boyfriend that has it and not really knowing what's going on or what to expect.

Trust me, it's scarier having it and not knowing what to expect! :) I should be back the second week in August if everything goes as planned. Wanna grab coffee?

Ha, yeah I'm sure that's the case. He is so good but yesterday he was just EXHAUSTED after mowing the grass. He was lying down in his bed and he just said, "I know I'm not perfect, but I don't think I deserve this.." It's hard as an outsider to understand. I don't want to just sit around feeling sorry for him but I think it's stupid to act as if nothing is wrong.

Yeah, I'll be around then I suppose!

On a side note, I have to say we both have changed *immensely* in 4 years. I mean, wasn't there a point in time where you thought I was an abomination to all women and didn't deserve to have a vagina? *smirk*

*hifives for maturity* ;-) Who knows -- bygones.

As for your honey, it's a fine line you walk. You need to remind him that there's still a lot he can do, but also be understanding when he can't. It's an awful lot to swallow. Has he started medication for it yet?

Also, if you're looking to get educated on it and ways to deal with it, I wholeheartedly recommend the book "Multiple Sclerosis for Dummies." I freakin hate owning a book that starts off with condescension in the title - but it's really a great guidebook for the family and newly diagnosed.

Yeah, he is on Tysabri once a month.

Awesome, I will definitely check that out. I've been wondering every once in a while what would be good reading choices but hadn't really gotten around to researching. Thanks.

I haven't met anyone on Tysabri yet. What does he think of it? I'd think having to go get an IV once a month would be a pain in the ass. Of course, daily injections probably sound like a pain in the ass to him. :)

You know - part of his fatigue might have to do with his treatment. The National MS Society website is pretty good for research too.

Well, obviously he hasn't been on anything else so he likes Tysabri without anything to compare it to. He does hate the IVs but you know, it's supposedly like the best/one of the best drugs out there so he feels privileged to get it.
