fudge damn allergies!!!
this is a 100% rant post. so better skip it.
i cannot believe this is happening to me!!! i've survived my whole life without ALLERGIES. i've bragged about being able to eat anything..and for those of you who know me, you know i've taken advantaged of this shamelessly. i've always pitied my cousins who were allergic to seafood. i don't even get red when i drink..no matter how drunk i become i can always pretend i was ok before collapsing into bed cos i never turned ever a shade redder. i was freaking INVINCIBLE for goodness' sake!
a couple of times though i've been feeling a bit tingly the morning after an exag inuman session. horrified at the thought of me developing an allergy to alchohol, i've decided to cut back and try to stave the stupid thing off. it seemed to be working, and i haven't felt that annoying sunburnt rashy feeling as of late.
but today, here at am, hunched over my computer, TRYING TO FINISH A GODDAMN RECOMMENDATION, when i'm increasingly bothered by mosquito bites on my legs. OHKAY, 6750 is the last place I would expect to be attacked by the little pests. I shift positions, hoping that the little buggers have had their fill of my blood and have moved on to other targets. but the itchy crap continues to spread and que horror i take a look at my legs and i'm practically covered with nasty red bumps!!! my initial thought was that there must be a whole tribe of hungry mosquitoes under my desk but for the life of my i can't figure out where have they been hiding all this time.
anyway, i try to suffer in silence but when anama passes by on her way out, i can't help but indulge in a fit of whining and complain abt the bloodsucking shits. she takes one look at me and pronounces my death sentence - THAT'S AN ALLERGIC REACTION.
my first instinct is to reject her statement but i have to accept the sad truth. if there ever was an expert on allergic reactions, it would be anama. she gets fuzzy lips if a spoon that she used touched a surface that had traces of seafood on it. so what's the diagnosis? nasty bumps all over my legs - check. rash on my tummy - check. red cheeks - cheek. manas face - check ( i duno if this is due to the allergy or i'm just too fat for comfort). WAAAAH!!!
GODAMMIT IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!! WTH!!!!!!! why now, why now?! after all these years?! i don't even know what i'm allergic too. all i know is that the last meal i had was bibimbap and spinach. and if i were allergic to either of those two it would be HELL ON EARTH!!!! fudgecakes! why can't i just be allergic to ampalaya?!
