Tug Of War ... is Vera and Victoria stealing the show from Gelai?
Some thoughts:
1.) Vera and Victoria's rivalry is stealing the show from Gelai... it's almost like it's VERA vs VICTORIA and well... GELAI vs CHLOE. It's how it's being set up and part of me is in glee about it... but part of me feels like it may affect the intended story arc.
2.) The show has a theme about daughter's with great daddies. Victoria has Papang. Chloe has Manuel. Gelai has Hermes.
Papang is awesome, Robert Arevalo made my heart ache. I like how he kicked Manuel's ass.
Manuel claims that whatever happens to Victoria that her FATHER will always think about her and have her in his heart... HER FATHER...
Papang said he was right, the father always has Victoria in his MIND and HEART because HE IS THE FATHER. YOU TELL HIM!!!! You fashion diva! YOU TELL HIM! You are the dad!!!
Every time MANUEL tells GELAI to reach for her dreams... or CHLOE to reach for her dreams because that's what he did... I just wanna yell, "DOUCHEBAG! DOUCHEBAG!"
As much as Manuel is such a sweet guy right now, every time he tells Gelai to reach her dreams, I just want to yell DEADBEAT!!!! I. am. sorry.
How the hell did Manuel reach HIS dreams? By latching on to Vera? By leaving his wife and kids? What? Sometimes he needs to STFU. Papang's right, he has all the gall to call himself a father... when Papang was the one who stood for Victoria and acted on that role. He's such a spineless man, sure, he defended Gelai and got her into her job AGAIN in Vera Couture... but how he speaks about reaching his dreams and the way he "defends" Victoria... just stop. Go get a new wig, while you're at it.
3.) I still dgaf about Louie... PLEASE GIVE ME SOME SORT OF WAY TO FEEL FOR HIM... aside from him being an object of LUST? Well, I did feel for him a little during the fashion show, but I felt like I was rooting more for Victoria than him.
4.) Needs MOAR Caloy.
5.) Chloe kind of stopped crying.
6.) Also, when VICTORIA warned Louie about Vera planning this huge event for the UFC fighters... why didn't she... just oh I don't know... SAY THAT? Why be cryptic and vague? Ohhai Louie... trouble in paradise! Don't trust Vera! WTF. You know your boyrfriend is slow. I DONTEBEN!!!!

Chloe: Aren't you Gelai's friend?
Caloy: FREN? BOYPREND! Sorry, I am taken.
Chloe: What? I am so not picking you up...
Caloy: PIKAP? PIKAP? Ano tingin mo saakin CALL BOY? (in the Philippines, you use the slang term "pick up" to get your gigolos/call boys, he didn't understand Chloe's English)
Chloe: Come! Let me take you to her! (holds his hand)
Caloy: Tsumatsansing ah? (Are you taking advantage of me?)
Chloe: Are you serious? Gosh!
and this... brewing love triangle? Although none of it is mutual so far. Gelai ain't want any of Caloy's goods (Crazy girl). Kanto boy doesn't want Gucci girl with mommy issues... what to do? what to do?
I also love Gelai's dramatic debut...
BUT BUT BUT BUT this TRUMPS everything! EVERYTHING!!!!
(AFTER VICTORIA SLAPS VERA in the bathroom, they had to go back to their dinner with Alexander the designer)
Alexander: Please, ladies... everything alright? Vera, you look flushed!
Vera: I do? Oh don't worry about me... I'm fine...
Victoria: Don't worry... she's just going through menopause!
Vera: MENOPAUSE??? COME ON, DAHLING! I'm too young for that!
Victoria: No you're noooooot (evil laughter)
Vera to Alexander: I am fine, I am actually having a blaaast! (laughter)
Victoria: Really now? HAHAHAHA!
Victoria: (glares at Vera) MENOPAUSE
Vera: (glares back)
Victoria: HAAAA! So hot! So flushed!
and the start of Gelai and Louie?
I see some chemistry... he's hot... she's hot... we shall see...
