The move, the city, the job, the roommates etc
Well...it was a hectic three weeks of finding a place to live, packing, spending time with everyone. I found a place to live (obviously because I am here now)....a great place in Hyde Park a 4,500 sq ft house. I have 5 other roommates...two of which live in the garage apt. 3 of them are Yankee transplants....2 are from michigan and the other is from maryland. It should be interesting this whole 5 roommates sharing thing we have going.
The move was a bit bumpy with dealing with the trailer mix up. We got a late start but with 5 people moving crap out we were able to do it in less than an hour. Then the move in was about the same time with 3 people.
I seriously have not stopped smiling since I have gotten here. I can't believe that every day I drive on hills, and could go swimming at the holes any time I want (outside of work hours). I was driving over town lake today...and seriously I could not help but smile because this is where I live....the land of awesomeness. Minus the longhorns but they are tolerable.
So far (it has only been the first day) it is going well...the work seems pretty straight forward. The people seem nice...it is kinda quiet for me but eh...I can bring music for that. I need an ipod docking station. I also need UH stuff to decorate my office with. As soon as I finish the first month I am going to hang the diploma.
