That Daring Young Man - Art Masterpost
So here I am, nervously posting my art for my first spn_j2_bigbang ever and I feel so proud of myself just for finishing :) I have to give massive thanks to my author tsuki_no_bara for being so nice and patient, giving me really great constructive feedback and not kicking my ass from here until tomorrow when I had severe internet issues :P
Thank you so much also to wendy and thehighwaywoman for doing this amazing, amazing job every year! I can't even begin to imagine just how much work goes into putting together something like this.
My illustrations here are for the great fic: That Daring Young Man. It's a beautiful bittersweet J2 story set in the circus during the 1930's and as soon as I read the summary I knew I wanted to work on it. Go read it, really, I promise you won't regret it.
And now for the artsy part: Starting with the banner that set the mood and style for the rest of the illustrations, click for bigger pictures.
Of course you can't have a circus without poster. Originally I wanted to do just one poster with all the characters but it was getting a little too crowded, so I decided to split them in two posters with different styles:
Next a pretty important scene in the fic between Jared and Jensen. Footnote: tents are not easy objects to depict :)
And finally the final scenes of the fic, these were the first pieces that I knew I wanted to do for sure:
