So, I went out Kayaking again this last Sunday night. I got in again after dark. I got some closer snap shots of a grey crane this time, so MAYBE this time I can show you all what I've been seening. I need to remember to drop off the roll of film for developing, uum, and finish up the roll with those pics of the crane on it.

The water was especially low when I went out this time. Lowest I've seen it. My boat's tracking fins and the center part of the boat snagged on the creek bottom several times while I was out. I saw a 12 diameter turtle just just beneath the surface, head poking above the water, in this one shallow spot. I heard an owl hooting and saw a while Heron flying by (no pics--to far away to try).

I had a slew of tests and quizes last week. I got a perfect score on the Linear Algebra test. I was the only one to do that. An A on the Stat test. I don't know what I scored on the personal health test, but I do know I got an -A on my part of the group presentation today. My group did well as a whole, 3 - As and 2 - B's on our presentations. Technically, I think Shereeda should have gotten a A too. Perhaps he took off because she failed to dress up like the rest of us. Or perhaps it was her material. I personally thought it was fine. Eddie, who got the other B, I felt should have recieved a C. He's hadn't done much digging at all. He was dress spiffy though. But, whatever. Its over, the class should be a breeze now.

Well, except they've changed the requirements this year and I will have to start dressing in gym shorts and a white t'shirt for this class. We will be running a mile lap Thursday. Obviously, I'll be WALKING it! lol, although it would certainly be nice if I could run it. (Don't have the right prosthetic for that).

Discrete Math is getting difficult. I'm getting B's and C's on the Friday quizes. I'm finding this class my most difficult. Studying the material, reading and understanding it, takes a LONG time. I basically have to do most of my studying on the weekend for that class. We're getting into proofs--direct, indirect, right now.

Programming is still easy. I'm getting a little frustrated with the instructors though. The two I am learning from right now have troubles communicating because English is not their first language. Dr. Yang is especially difficult to follow. Sigh. Now that I think of it. Every instructor in the Computer Science department is a foreigner whose English isnt' their first language. Fortunately, Dr. Haile, the department chair, the instructor of my Discrete Math class, is an excellent communicator, dispite his leaving out an "s" or "a" here or there. I'd really be hurting if any one of the others was teaching Discrete Math.
