Now that school is out for the summer (I'm not taking summer classes this year), I've been trying to catch up on dramas/variety shows. And failing, of course. The two main ones that I'm watching right now are Tsuki no Koibito and Sunao ni Narenakute.
Tsuki no Koibito is okay because 1)Kimura Takuya and 2)Kimura Takuya. Yeah, he's basically the only reason I'm watching it. I thought the story was pretty interesting at first, with the Chinese girl being portrayed as the heroine and the Japanese company being portrayed as the bad guys, but then it just tapered off into a run-of-the-mill romance. I like romance, but I'm also rewatching Sleeping Forest right now, and damn Takuya is just so awesome in that it makes everything else pale in comparison.
Sunao ni Narenakute is, among other things, a drama about Twitter. It's starring a lot of actors I like -- Eita, Juri, that one girl from Hachikuro, etc etc. The dude from DBSK, which I despise, actually ended up being my favorite character. Doctor is such a sweetie. ♥ I want to punch Nakaji in the face. You have a girlfriend, stop leading her on, asshole. Haru even knows she's being lead on, but still hangs around him because he makes her happy. <-- Hmm, this situations sounds familiar. FML. Except in my situation, I don't have a cute Korean boy crushing on me. D= There's this midget /b/tard that keeps asking me out, though. *dies*
For the first time ever, I have a "real life" friend on my flist. Well, I've met some of my LJ friends in real life, but you know what I mean. It's a really weird feeling. Especially since I've had no "real life" friends since elementary school, haha. We're going to see Wonder Girls in concert together! Yaaaaay! Nevermind the fact that I've only heard one Wonder Girls song. I just want to support Asian artists coming to St. Louis. (Plus, this summer has been boring as hell.) Any band I'm interested in either only goes to LA, New York, or in Arashi's case, doesn't come to the US at all. Sadface.
In other news, the Pokemon B/W legendaries look snazzy! I forgive the design team for the retarded looking starters.
