Avantgarde

One of the questions that have occupied me during the last weeks is: where is todays avantgarde? In my past there always was something that was thrilling new, special, progressive and simply worth to not only be noticed, be it in society, art, music and, of course, literature.
I then was inspired by this, thought hours, days and months about it, sometimes became a part of it.

And today? Where is the "big move"? Many things at least seem to change very fast, but my very own impression is, that in fact, nothing is moving forward, but, with a breathtaking speed. And this really makes me angry, not depressive.

I am angry about all the 20- or 30-something old writers which publish their debuts presenting boring familystories about three generations of conflicts. It´s the trend, I know. I am angry about the society for not finding or even searching a way out of this daily growing madness often paraphrased as increase of productivity. It´s the market, I know. And yes, I am angry about movements like attak for their steady attempts to instrumentalize people who want to do the right thing. It´s the matter that counts, I know. I could continue this list but it would be as boring as watching pirate movies.

Where the frack is the breakthrough, the hole in the wall? The change? The idea? Where is life?
