Making Progress

The only casualties so far are the crappy old tub and the ugly green tile. Yay! Now I get to make it pretty in there. First we have to make it useable since Thanksgiving will be at our house this year and is only a little over a week away.

The demolition is finished and now on to the rebuild.

Indeed. uglyfish November 11 2007, 23:39:07 UTC
I guess I should have stopped complaining about the bathrooms so much. Maybe then they would have held out until I got the other things I REALLY wanted to do first.

I hate home projects...

They always sound like such great ideas? They always end up being so kickass when they're done? But then there's that point when you're half way there when you're just "over it", and don't want to do any more, but it's way too late to turn back...

I am 90% finished installing hardwood (laminate) flooring throughout our entire living room and hallway. It looks absolutely kickass. If all goes to plan, we'll even be able to enjoy it for only a month or two before I hopefully don't have to do it again in a new home. heh

Regardless...

Man, am I tired of doing this...
I even accidentally smashed my poor wittle bitty (left middle finger) with a hammer...

It is not a happy finger.

Well, I totally love home projects, I just wish I had more time to devote to them. I am not happy unless I can use power tools at least a few times a month. I am quite handy and so is Brian and we make a great team. We do tend to prefer the projects that are planned though, instead of the ones that kick you in the head and say "do it now or else". Despite the unexpectedness of this one, I am quite excited about the results. But wait until you see what we have planned next.

Hope the finger is feeling better soon. It sucks to only have one finger to flip people off with.

You should post pictures of the progress. And amusing renovation anectdotes...I love those.
