The Cost of Cheap Real Estate Where I Live
I am resigned to the fact that I might not ever be able to afford to buy a decently-sized home in my neighborhood, even though between the two of us, the boy and I live quite comfortably. So imagine my surprise when I saw a listing (on Craigslist) for a condo that was only $450k in my neighborhood - about half the price of another place I saw last year. Then I realized why it was so cheap.
- It only has one bedroom.
- It was built over 30 years ago.
- Apparently the place comes with an overweight woman wearing too much makeup.
