Graceless heart (feat. Loki)
This was made for a challenge at BuffyForums. I'll copy my commentary from the board:

My piece is about Loki's (failed) suicide and his attempt to "start anew" and conquer Earth.
In Thor, he felt unloved and tried to prove himself to his adoptive father, and did some awful things - lied, framed his brother, murdered his biological father etc. (I'll leave it to Odin's parenting fail that he actually thought this was the way to achieve Odin's approval.) When he realized that his horrible attempts to win love and acceptance were rejected, he let himself fall into the abyss between worlds. But against all odds he survived. When we see him again in The Avengers, he speaks with disdain about "sentiment", claims that he has no home or father, and tries to subjugate Earth to make it his kingdom.
I love him despite all the things that he's done, so I felt that these lines: I am done with my graceless heart / So tonight I'm gonna cut it out and then restart - are a great reflection of how he views himself and his story.
I used caps from the scene when he is dangling over the abyss, then hears Odin's rejection, and lets go. I also used profiles of his two fathers (his biological father was a Jotun, a monster who had thrown him away to die, so his face is a looming shadow; his adoptive father wasn't there when Loki needed him, so he is shiny, but asleep). I added a cap of his adoptive mother hugging his brother Thor (and not him), while Thor looks at him angrily. Finally, in the bottom there is New York's skyline with explosions, symbolizing Loki's attempt to get himself a new kingdom, and Loki himself wearing his full war gear (which hopefully works as a symbol of how he's hardened and hidden his wounded feelings deep under the armor of anger and denial).
