Fanart update: 9 multifandom wallpapers
Hi, guys. :)
It seems I've accumulated a pile of new wallpapers. Didn't even realize I had so many. Most of them are shippy because I created them in the course of multifandom shipping meme, so, uh, sorry about the lack of thematical variety. %) I just needed something simple and nice to ease back into fanarting after the long break.

It hurts
This was made for the Symbols challenge on BF. Copying my notes from the forum:
Damon is a vampire. He's been evil and refused to feel/care for people for over a century, until he met Elena and fell in love with her. The unrequited love awakened his humanity and, naturally, the heartache. Now, in the episode my piece is based on, random character mistook Elena for a vampire and fired a crossbow at her. Damon shielded Elena with his body and took the arrow instead of her, saving her life. Then Elena had to pull the arrow out because he couldn't do it himself. ("Pull it out. I can't reach it, Elena... Just pull the damn thing out. It hurts.")
The arrow missed his heart, of course (otherwise, he'd be dead ), but still, the scene, with its subtext and its cheesy-ness, made me think of this symbol. I just thought that the arrow/the love for Elena that made Damon "hurt" was pretty symbolic for his situation. :) So this is what came out of that:

Self serving psychopath (cool title, isn't it. Ahem. :P)
And this is a "recycle" of an old draft. I lost it when my HD crashed, but got it restored recently and thought I'd finish it. Even though it's pretty shallow in terms of concept. :) I just wanted to picture the darker part of Damon's personality, the one that's messy, broken, a little bit insane, and kind of evil. :)The text is Elena's words to Damon from 1.17.

Were you worth all the darkness?
I am not sure how shippy this one is, to be honest. Does a canonical/angsty approach count? It is based on a beautiful song by Susanne Sundfør, "Moments", and kind of channels my sadness about what's became of the friendship and connection Dean and Castiel used to have during the Apocalypse arc. *sigh*
It's also pretty experimental, so I'll appreciate any feedback on it. :)

(I'm feeling so nostalgic of Buffyverse lately.)
Mutual
This is based on the fight scene from the episode What's My Line (pt.2), in which Buffy and Kendra switch their opponents and Buffy begins to fight with Spike. :)
Spike: "I'd rather be fighting you, anyway."
Buffy: "Mutual."
I used the cross of Du Lac in the background and put the flames between Buffy and Spike not only as symbols, but as references to the plot of the actual episode.

My reflection
This is about Buffy and Spike's darkest moments and really very angsty, I'm afraid. Dead Things / Seeing Red, with Tom McRae's lyrics:
Here we are, in the darkest place.
My reflection shows only your face.
I've been nursing this idea for a couple of years, actually. The composition ended up being experimental, because I couldn't think of another way to include all the "reflections" without making it look dull. I tried this flipped-swirling effect to convey their loss of control, loss of themselves in the darkness they're in. I am not sure if I succeeded, to be honest, but, well. :)

And some more angst, this time with Wesley and Lilah from Angel, the episode Home. The little scene in the W&H's archives, when Wes tries to burn Lilah's contract only to find out that it's indestructible and she's in hell forever, always makes me cry. :(

So, a fortune teller told Duncan once that he'd bury many women but marry none. He still proposed to Tessa, but the very same night she got shot by a robber on the street and died. :(

Lost (Sawyer and Kate, episode 1.08)
A kiss ought to do it
I made this one for "the best kiss". I haven't even watched Lost further than season 1 and can't remember most of the plot, but I do think that this was simultaneously the most disturbing and the most beautiful kiss I've seen on TV. I'll copy the synopsis from Wikipedia:
"Shannon is beginning to have trouble breathing, due to her lack of medication and panic resulting from this problem. Jack tries punching answers [about where the medications are] out of Sawyer [...] Then with Jack's approval, Sayid ties Sawyer to a tree and tortures him for answers, revealing that he has tortured people many times before.
Sawyer finally agrees to give up the inhalers, but only to Kate. He again says he will hand over the medication if she kisses him, which she reluctantly does, only to find that he does not have the medication after all."
And here's the dialogue my wall's based on:
Sawyer: "Happy to tell you, soon as I get that kiss."
Kate: "What? Are you serious?"
Sawyer: "Baby, I am tied to a tree in a jungle of mystery, and I just got tortured by a damn spinal surgeon and a genuine Iraqi. Of course I'm serious."
