I am sick. Well not physically sick right now but getting there. I have a speech in the morning and I have a serious fear of performing in front of crowds. This leads people to ask a lot of questions.

If you do Colorguard why can't you do this?
In Colorguard I am one of 10-20 people. I am almost invisible just a working part. No solos no leads. Just part of the group.

But people are still looking at you. Isn't that the issue?
Oh it definitely is the issue but there are two great things about that. One I am near sighted. I can't see their faces expressions or where their eyes are looking. Secondly, in guard you don't have to make eye contact with anyone. In fact you just have to keep your head up. I usually look up past anyone or stare at a brightly colored shirt of a face I can't make out. It's perfect.

But this speech tomorrow... I am in a small room. Confined with people I don't know. I have to see their faces. I have to look at them. I don't think I can do it.
