When a guy needs to think about a relationship he's in, how much time do you think he needs?
I'm going to write this down, even though I wasn't sure if I should. Maybe writing will help.
Basically, I had a chat with my boyfriend on Monday about our relationship.
Ben is a sweet, kind, lovely, laid back and funny guy, just what I want in a boyfriend. But he's so laid back he doesn't seem to put any effort in.
In all the time we've been together most of the time I'm the one who has to invite him over to my place, or suggest we do something. I told him that I feel this relationship is too one sided and if he truly wants to be with me then he has to make the effort to.
He said he needed to go away and think about this. The fact that he needs to do much thinking at all bothers me.
The key is, I'm not getting in contact with him. I'm going to be round his house, because he lives with my friends, next wednesday and I'm not going to have any contact with him whatsoever, until then and if he doesn't get in contact with me by then in some form I'm just going to end it.
I don't want to end it. If Ben made the effort, I know this could be the best relationship I've ever been in, because dispite our problems I feel so deeply for him. I care more about him more than any other guy I've dated and I think about him a lot. But I can't be in a relationship like this, I would rather be single than be with someone who doesn't make the effort.
I don't want to lose him as a friend, not ever and even if things end I hope we can just be friends. The story of my life, but Ben being who he is I don't think I could manage well without him being my friend, espeically since he lives with my friends in a house I plan to live in soon.
