Work and BBQ's
Last night I went up to Bruton to meet Sel so me and Luke could direct her to Odd Down (I mainly sat in the back and felt rather sick)
When we got to Odd Down Sel got the grand tour and I snuggled up on the sofa to sleep while they went to get food.
Yeah, I've been feeling rather unwell recently. Nothing serious, just after eating my tummy will feel all full and horrible and after a while I'll want to throw up. It's been happening off and on since the Steam Fair. Weird.
Anyway, we set up the BBQ in the garden and lit lots of candles because by then it was getting dark. I got some great photos of the gang and I felt better so I ate.
I had planned to stay the night, but I had not planned very well. Yes, I brough a sleeping back, but I had no toothbrush or anything to sleep in. Good one, Saz.
Well, the following morning things went not as planned either. I had planned to catch the same bus as Dave, but I couldn't find him anywhere in the house, so I went off to catch an earlier bus. I had gone to the wrong bus stop, so no wonder I thought I'd missed the bus. I ended up walking to Bear Flats and catching the right bus there which Dave was on.
Work wise things were rather weird. Rich was off work because he has an infection in his foot and isn't suppose to walk on it. So Sean from Trowbridge had to come down to cover, but he has his own store to run so he had to keep coming backwards and forewards between the two stores.
At the end of the day he taught me how to cash up the money and Rich had showen me the previous day how to lock up, so hopefully in the case of an emergency, I'll know how to close down. That will be perfect is Rich ever has to go home during a shift.
The way this company is run is beyond a joke. A lot of managers are walking out and we are short staffed. We went from having two deputies and a manager to having just Rich.
On the bright side, I don't have to start work until 12 on Friday when originally I was in all day.
