What day is today?
It's Sarah's Birthday!
Today is my birthday and in my new job I can take that day off and it doesn't effect my holidays. However, I chose not to take the day off and used it instead next week, since I'm off then and this way I save a days holiday.
So, I was in work on my birthday and since I'm pretty new I didn't really say much, though I did mention it to a few people and this made snacks appear. It seems a tradition that when it's someone's birthday someone goes out and buys snacks. I am so going to gain weight in this new job. Anyway, that was nice. There were doughnuts. *imagines waistline expanding*
This doesn't mean I'm not doing anything FOR my birthday. On the weekend just gone I met up in Bristol with the usual bunch to hang out and watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. It was awesome. I'm not sure I can say it was better than the first, but it was really really good and I'm gonna buy the soundtrack when I can.
We also ate at Atomic Burger which was very retro themed with action figures and toys literally hanging form the ceiling. Food was good too and each one named after something nostalgic. I had the Chuck Norris which had pulled pork. Yummy.
I was also going to build a cuddly Rocket Raccoon in Build-a-Bear, but to my disappointment, the store is no longer there nor is there a BAB in Bristol at all. :(
Despite that, I had a good time.
Also, as part of my birthday, Matt and I are off to Disneyland Paris next week! I'm so excited, I've wanted to go back since last Jan and they're celebrating their 25th Anniversary so they'll be new things to enjoy. I can't wait!
