Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside

Even if it is rainning.

I arranged with a few friends of mine, digicowboy reaperfox and lazenich to go down to Torquay for the day. We were aware that it was going to rain, but decided to go anyway.

I arrived last, on Monday seeing as I had to come straight from work and took a different train somehow to Luke. We met up in Whetherspoons and hung out until around 11:30ish and then headed for the hotel. Torquay is much nicer at night with all the lights, but it's a a shame there isn't really much of a beach to see during the day, but there was more of it at night, so we walked along that for, well, about 5 minutes.

We managed to get to the hotel thanks to stopping to look at a map at the bus stop and having a bus pull up that happened to take us right to the door. Watched the end of Naked Gun and went to sleep.

DC and I shared a room and both woke up around the same time, so we watched some show called Who wants to be a Superhero, which was pretty funny.

The weather was pretty much drizzling all day, so we headed to the town centre and more or less went straight to a mexican restuarant. The afternoon, was pretty much spent hanging out in Waterstones and whetherspoons. Which was a lot of fun.

I think next time I plan a day trip I'll wait and see what the weather is like before I make all the bookings. Hell, going today would have been nicer. But we're British, damn it. We don't let the rain stop us!
