You know, I actually wanted them to evict Dirk Benedict from the Big Brother house tonight because then I would no longer have a reason to watch this show. But he's still there.
On the whole, I don't like it. I spend more time complaining about it whilst I'm watching it.
Thankfully I only watch the highlights.
I can't just stop because the more I see Dirk Benedict on it the more I like him. Plus he's never anywhere else anymore.
Of course once the normal big brother's on I'll avoid it like the plague.
Here's my rant about it.
It's a stupid show that sucks in morons, who play up to the cameras because they are expected to and because they want to and at the end of it they have their 15 minutes of fame and then fade away in to obscurity.
And this is entertainment? Not to me. I don't want to watch idiots who are supposed to be funny, sexy, or rude, rebelious or whatever doing whatever they can to show the public that they are 'worthy of attention' when in reality they're talentless people who milk the fame they receive from the show for all it's worth and end up achieving nothing.
If people go on it to have a laugh and joke around and then forget about it afterwards then fair enough, whatever, but those that want to be famous afterwards, but have no talents or skills, just annoy me. They do not deserve my praise.
The celebraty big brother is odd, because I don't recognise some of the 'celebraties' but then again, they have an attendance to get celebraties I've never heard of. I'm still surprised Dirk Benedict is there, I find it so hard to believe, especially when I'm flicking through the channels and find Battlestar Galactica (The original). He hasn't mentioned his reasons, and in a way I don't care. I'm sticking to my sad reason for watching it.
Although that makes me think of something else. I know Jade was in big brother once before, but what does she do now that makes her a celebraty? What is she famous for? I know she wrote her autobiography, I saw it in the library, but what does she do these days that makes her famous?
I think I'll keep my head stuck in the 70's and 80's. Things make more sense there.
