Ladies and gentlemen!

It took me a while to get the decision of putting this one fic here... It's unfinished (Obviously, people who knows me shouldn't be surprised), but maybe someone will have some interesting idea for new points on that list Aoko made... Just let me know... Maybe my plunnies will take a bait, and start to behave ;)

And I couldn't help to take the picture of the Magic Kaito anime as a picture to that fic... Isn't it cute?

I want to thank Shadow-chan who betareaded this text and who helped me to eliminate many mistakes which appeared there... I dedicate it to her and to all of my friends I've met at ff.net site... Love you guys...!

Title: List of things to do.

Greyness of the morning fog, and the heaviness of the rain clouds foreshadowed a sleepy, unpleasant day. Forenoon, however, brought a wind that blew the fog away. Sun beams had pushed its way through the thick clouds, warming everything it touched. Dust specks were swirling with the soft blow of the wind, when fresh air flew through the dormer. The scent of crisp air merged with the strong smell of dust and the delicious fragrance of cinnamon. Soft creeks of the old attic's floor and distant humming were the only sounds filling the room.

There were footsteps. Becoming louder and louder as the person got closer. A clatter of door handle. A rasp of the opening door and humming filled the room.

It took Aoko less than a minute to find what she was looking for. A small pile of papers clasped with a big pink paperclip shaped as a flower. It was a little crumpled and the title looked like it had been written by a kid who had just learned how to write. In a scrawled handwriting, title read: “List of things I want to do.”

It was something like a very shortened diary. Since Aoko had been in elementary school, she had listed every thing she wanted to do in future. At the beginning there had been silly things like Have a twin sister, when she had been thinking that she had been able to decided of how many siblings she could have. Or Learn to do magic, when she had wanted to do something to impress Kaito. More serious plans had come with age, but she had never thrown away those earlier points from her list. Although she had finished that childish play after graduating from the high school, she could never bring herself to throw it out. Instead she hid that notes in the attic; far enough that the silly doodles on front page wouldn't catch her eye, but enough close, that she could look at it whenever she wanted.

And today, while she was rolling out the dough for cookies, she felt that it could be fun to read what desires she had when she was a kid and a teenage girl. So when she put cookies into the oven, she rushed to the attic to find her list.

Kaito didn't even bother to knock. According to his knowledge, Aoko should now making hot chocolate while her cookies were cooling down on a tray, waiting patiently to be eaten by Kaito while they both would go watch a good movie. They had spent Saturday evenings that way from ages. Cookies, hot chocolate and a good movie. Even when both began their studies, they met during weekends to talk about the student life with some movie playing in the background.

So it was perfectly normal that Kaito would expect to see a singing Aoko in a perfectly clean kitchen, and two mugs waiting for a hot chocolate to be poured in.

The only one thing was right was that kitchen was shining by its cleanliness, if you ignored the pile of dishes in the sink waiting to be washed. But it seemed that cookies were still baking. Though there were no signs of any preparations to make some hot chocolate. Aoko was in the living room on the couch, lost in thought. And as if that wasn't enough Kaito's nose picked up an alarming smell.

With a reflex that always made KID proud, Kaito turned the oven off before cookies even had a chance to get burned.
