Mercy Corps' rebuilding and relief efforts in Northern Uganda

Hi everyone, I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas and have a beautiful New Year! Here is a link to some work the internationally known relief and community empowerment organization Mercy Corps is doing to help rebuild cities and towns in northern Uganda destroyed by the civil war:

Mercy Corps is consistently rated as one of the most honest, effective, and efficient charitable organizations by Money Magazine and other groups. This would be something great to support if anyone is looking for a place to make an end-of-the-year tax deductible donation (or who's late on holiday shopping and would like to donate in someone's name.)

The civil war is actually calming down but people still don't often feel safe returning to their homes and/or no longer have homes to which to return. Mercy Corps is assisting with infrastructure, education, and sanitation.

People can also support Mercy Corps by using http://www.goodsearch.com - Yahoo's search results, but advertisers make it possible to support a charity with some small donation for every search using the site. No need to provide any personal or financial information - it's simply a straight search count and one can click to see how much has been raised.
