[She doesn't wave back immediately because ohmigawsh is that really Ed? After all, Ed had disappeared that one day, and she hadn't seen him since.

Oh right, be police, Sheska! She half-fakes a smile and gives a mousy little wave.] L-long time no see! A-and yea... I guess, but where is 'here'?

[Ed's not sure what to make of Bookworm's reaction to seeing him, but he doesn't press about that for now.]

'Here' is Mayfield. Some town in the 1950's in "America", so I have been told. I myself got here three months ago. I don't know how or why we got here either. But basically, the ones running this place like to mess with us. We can get our stuff back through 'events', they're usually each month or so.

...Wait, what's the last thing you remember, Sheska? Just making sure, cause this place takes people from different times as well as places.

Uhm... welll, after Brig--I mean, Mr. Hughes fired me I really didn't have the money to afford my own home after a while! I was just a guest for a while at their house, but Winry invited me to stay after you got Al's body back. [in a way that sort of says she thinks Ed already knows.]
