(no subject)
i haven't even started my senior year of college yet and i am already SO sick of watching people's faces scrunch up when i say i'm getting a degree in history/women's studies. even more annoying are the ones who mumble about teaching being the only "practical" thing i could do with it. what the fuck? why is everything always about something else? why does it have to be about ONE goal, ONE job, ONE purpose? sorry that i don't have a single-pointed focus on what i want to do with the rest of my life, for not basing every decision i've made in school on "practicality," that i didn't go to college just to map out a plan for my life. GOD, fuck the future. the future freaks me out.
