I died twice in my home world, and once here. I'll talk to you, if you'd like.

Thanks, Ami, I appreciate your willingness to talk, as always. The compare and contrast is exactly what I'm looking for. [He hadn't been sure there would be anyone with both experiences.]

I'll start out with what happened back home... were you brought here immediately following either of those deaths?

No; they were a long time before I came here. [Thousands of years ago, and some four years before her return here.]

Then the revival happened entirely in your own world. [Good to know, it'll make the comparison that much better.] Do you have a clear memory of coming to, when you returned to life back home?

I was completely unaware the first time, for many years. The second time, I remember it.

Do you have any idea on how it was possible? Is revival natural for you and the others like you?

When we die, there'll be a next time. But it isn't like that for most humans.

Right, I think you described it as something like a reincarnation, before. So... it's a natural process for your kind.

Was anything different about the experiences, waking up back home and waking up here?

['Her kind'.]

Please don't misunderstand. We were reborn as humans, on Earth, this time.

Right, I'm sorry about that.

[Ok, yes, maybe getting a biiiit carried away about the cool otherworldly details he knows of.]

Did you notice much difference, though? Between rebirth back home, and revival here?

Revival and rebirth are very different. I grew up and lived as the 'me' of now this time. But when I was revived, my life picked up again from the same place.

Good, that makes a clear distinction between the two processes. You don't actually lose anything through rebirth, is that correct? As opposed to the penalties here?

When we were reborn, we didn't remember anything about our previous lives.

[He considers that.]

Loss of memories... it seems more reasonable than some penalties, for the sake of starting a new life...

Those memories were important. Some of the events that ended our past life began to repeat. If we had remembered clearly, from the start, it might have been totally avoided.

That old saying about the past repeating itself never seemed so appropriate. So you started to remember some things gradually? Was there anything that in particular that brought those memories back?
