I've heard the healing spirit is the easiest to contact, but I've not attempted it myself.

Nala, right? I would think her powers would come in pretty handy, considering this place.

Yes, I believe that's her name. There are several doctors of the normal persuasion here, but also some healers who have learned from her. You can find them at the clinic most likely.

The others are more elusive, but spending time around their preferred elements seems to increase your chance of meeting them.

That seems to make a lot of sense. Although I'm hoping that doesn't mean "set yourself literally on fire" to contact the fire-spirit.

Not that I'm planning on giving it a try anytime soon, of course. I think I'll stick to Nala for a starter spirit and see how that goes.

I'm a federal agent. [Oh, right, other worlds... he's pretty naturally gotten the hang of that idea at least.] The FBI is a kind of law enforcement, if you're not from my world. My area of specialty is in solving crimes with a... paranormal angle to them.
