off to the hyde park tonight for zx specky cd launch. funny thought crossed my mind today, it being october 2005, i am celebrating a decade of punk music love. 10 years ago, the old baby ears, grown up on the crowded house, the bryan adams, the blur, and the 'Celebrate 88' and 'Hit Picks 88' compilation tapes, were in for a rude shock..
it all started the day i decided i liked rancid's "time bomb", a poppy enough affair, and as i was feeling rich that day, bought 'and out come the wolves' instead of the single..
i think i got a minute into the first track on the first listen, and ejected the cd.. it sat gathering dust for a week or so, until i gave it another go, feeling miserable (as you do, being a tight arsed bastard) that I could have wasted a hard earned 30 bucks..
forced the headphones on, something just clicked, and the rest as they say is history..
