[Voice/Action... second day & onward]

Jul 29, 2011 15:23

[The first day, his room had been just like his office back home. Nice and cozy, and made him miss it. But on day two, Mulder wakes to discover that his room is an Antarctic... paradise. His teeth are chattering like mad as he goes off to head out.]It's f- -f- freezing in here. I hope I still have all my toes, I haven't bothered to count. And m- my ( Read more... )

it's on!!!, base of the neck!, it's too much like home, not shooting things this time, chasing the truth, plot, this time it really is aliens, not a fun way to wake up, experiment, blaming the malnosso, battle dome malfunction, blaming the aliens, alien bounty hunters, now this is a close encounter, they are everyone and they are no one

How would we know if it was a shape shifting, dark haired man if the being in question is capable of shape shifting?

[An out of breath Mulder returns to answer.]

Point. Strongly taken.

Let's put it another way. If you shoot, stab or otherwise wound something humanoid, and green blood oozes from that wound? RUN THE HELL AWAY.

Green blood is generally a cause for concern, yes.

...why?

It's highly toxic, and has the potential to be lethal if not dealt with immediately. Even then, the recovery time is a bitch.

[There's the sound of him shooting something- there've been plenty of other things out here to deal with.]

Rydia!?

[Because shouting each other's names always helps doesn't it?]

Be careful out there, we're under attack.

[It does! Ask Rosa.]

I know. Do you need help?

Do you have a spell that can hold something in place long enough so I can stab it in the neck?

[Something about her voice is more determined, bold.]

Mulder. Are you alright?

[Mulder notices, though there's no time just yet to ponder it too strongly.]

I'm- [A pause as he thinks he hears something, but it's much too distant to be a problem. At the moment.] -I'm fine, just a little surprised by the sudden influx of... things.

More importantly, are you safe right now? I'll come to help if you're not.

[Mulder is one of the people she feels a bit closer to in Luceti, the people she shares certain common interests with.]

Safety is pretty much relative right now, isn't it? [Though admittedly, he could use the help. He's hot on a Bounty Hunter's trail, but he's running into a lot of interruptions along the way.] ...I could use a hand or two, if you're up to it.

[He's trying to think after that when if ever Ami mentioned being a fighter. Hm... curious...]

Ah - Mr. Mulder, are... are you alright?

[Robert's actually got half a mind to track him down, wherever he is, and try to help him out. For once, his intelligence is proving to be an actual asset, especially when Terran landscapes come up.]

Robert! I'm fine, though I've been having a hell of a time these past couple days. What about you? Are you holding up all right?

The simulations have been... m-most disconcerting, but I am alright myself, yes. Some simulations are... quite beautiful... if it were in better circumstances, I would show you the simulated parts of Terra.

... Is, er, th-there any way I can get you assistance...? [Medically, physically, mentally... Robert doesn't want to sit around idly by while his friends get hurt anymore, even if it's simulated.]

Is there- god damn it! [There's the sound of him shooting something.] - sorry, I almost got mauled by a Chupacabra there.

[As if that's the most normal thing ever.]

Is there any way I could see Terra? I've been curious ever since you told me about it...

[Ok, so maybe the strength in numbers angle is something he's going for too.]

[Once Stuff starts Going Down, Robin's taken it upon himself to help the folks who can't help themselves. Watching Mulder -a man who hasn't exhibited any signs of being metapowered over the journal at least- chase people with what is presumably an oversized needle counts.

He'll trail Mulder for a while before heading him off in that bizarre shadow-melting sort of way that the batfamily just sort of has.]

You should be indoors, Mr. Mulder. It's not safe out here.

[Whoa! Mulder jumps and turns with the weapon raised, watching Robin warily.]

That it's not safe out here is exactly the reason I need to be here.

[Ah, Mulderian logic. It completely hasn't occurred to him how the weapon must look to most people.]

[He's putting entirely too much faith in that little thing. That means he's either delusional or there's some kind of power packed into it.]

No. You're going to get inside. There's still a handful of houses that are safe. Let those who are able handle the big problems.

But dealing with this kind of thing is in my job description. I know what I'm doing when it comes to the paranormal.

[Oh, right. Now he realizes he's still got the Bounty Hunter weapon out.]

...and I have a gun.
