Last weekend I bought a book called "Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salads" which is a book basically about how we've been lead to think that we can't eat carbs and we have to work out insanely to loose weight. I've been trying to loose some weigh for awhile now and been having a hard time so I thought "Hey, may as well give it a shot right?" So far, I've only been doing it for 3 days. I get to eat 4 times a day and each meal HAS to have a lean protein AND a carb - named the PC combo in the book. I've been combining this with Weight Watchers b/c back in January I bought 1 month and got 2 additional months free.
Anyway, so every week on WW I write in my weight and since I started I haven't lost even 1 full pound. I got on the scale this morning and to my surprise I had lost almost 2 lbs!
So I'm going to keep this up and see if it continues. If it does, it'll be amazing because I can definitely continue this plan for the rest of my life if it actually helps me lose weight.
Example of my yesterday's food:
BREAKFAST: 7:30am
4 egg white omlette w/ sauteed mushrooms and spinach
2 small red potatoes
2 tbsp fat free cheddar cheese
LUNCH - 11:30am
2.5 oz Chunk Light Tuna salad (2 tbsp FF mayo, 3 olives, 1 tsp red wine vinegar, 1 med hard boiled egg) - wrapped in lettuce cups
MID-AFTERNOON 3:30pm
6 oz Chobani 0% plain yogurt
2 oz Bear Naked Peak Flax
DINNER 7:30pm
Lime Chili Sea Bass
1/2 cup brown rice
Tbsp peanut butter (for dessert) =)
Strawberries and blueberries
So far I feel full all day long and don't have cravings to eat other things in between meals. I'm liking this plan!
