Life As It Comes and Goes...

So here I am, once again I haven't done a real post in a month.

April was crazy. I was celebrating a birthday every week. First was Jack's birthday where we went to a Less Than Jake show and then down to Channelside and Howl At The Moon. I had never been there and it was fun. I convinced Jack to get up on the bar and dance. He got yelled at to get down to which he responded: "ITS MY BIRTHDAY". It was a cool weekend.

The next week was Caleb's birthday. We went down to Hyde Park and out to dinner before heading over to MacDinton's for happy hour and karaoke. It was a fun evening. Caleb and Dave brought the house down with their rendition of Tiny Dancer by Elton John.

The NEXT weekend was the twinjamin's birthday and Amanda was also visiting. I reserved a table at Hyde Park Cafe and lots of people showed up to celebrate. It was a fun night. The next day Jack, Amanda, Megan and I went out to the pool for a bit. Amanda told her crazy travel stories about sitting in nude spas in Germany and her time in Guatemala. Sunday Jack, Amanda and I went down to Siesta Beach. There was some crazy festival going on that day that I didn't know about beforehand. There was NO parking. I had a little fit of road rage but we finally found a spot. Despite a criminal taking off with two of our Natty Lights and my Death Cab For Cutie tote bag, the day was awesome. We made a sand giraffe.

The next week I took off with The Forecast / Limbeck / and Hot Rod Circuit for the weekend on tour. The tour was amazing and so were the people on it. Limbeck and The Forecast stayed with me and Megan a couple nights. Sunday night was a huge rager filled with booze, wrestling, one person puking his guts out, and magic tricks. Definitely a lot of fun! Work the next day was not so much...

April came and May went.

Caleb, Amy, David and I hoped into a 12 passenger van we quickly named 'White Chocolate' and head out for what would be our 22 hour drive up to New Jersey and The Bamboozle. The drive up was long and hard. We made a stop at 'South Of The Border' to try to pick up sombreros for Cinco De Mayo but we arrived 2 hours after the placed closed for the night. We also almost got into an accident while Dave was behind the wheel. Not his fault at all but a semi came barreling down on us from across the highway. With his cat-like reflexes, he was able to maneuver our van onto the shoulder and barely out of harms way. I was on the floor trying to sleep during this even and was awoken to both Dave and Caleb yelling "oh oh OOOH". As we swerved a box of cds fell from the back and landed on top of my head. Small price to pay when I think of what could have happened. So we arrived in NJ at around 2pm and couldn't check in until 3pm so we all took an hour nap in the van out in the parking lot. Once we were able to, we checked in and got ready to go to NYC for the Fueled By Ramen dinner at Carmine's. The place was awesome but we missed having Johnny and John with us...at least I did!

Bamboozle was good. Saw a lot of bands. Sold a lot of merch. The usual. Nothing too exciting stands out in my mind. We drove to Chili's both nights after packing up and dinner was fun. The Matches were randomly staying in the hotel next door to the Chili's so we got to see them. Ben hung out with us and Powerspace the second night and told lots of funny stores. He really should be a comedian. The drive back to FL was a lot easier than the drive there. However, I still was only able to get about 3 hours of sleep.

We were "LIVIN' IN A VAYION" as David put it. =)

SO just when I thought I'd get back to normal, my brother came to visit last weekend. We went out Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and then did Busch Gardens on Sunday. It was fun having him around!

Now I am tired and broke until next Thursday. At that point, I will be heading home for the first time since Christmas to hang out with friends and family! I'll be home Thursday night through Monday. =)
