Finances are tough!

I think one of the most difficult things to learn when you step out into the real world is saving and spending money.  Budgeting, for me at least, has been a difficult lesson to learn.  I started out with one credit card, and at first, I was really good about paying it off in full each month.  I didn't spend like crazy or feel like I had "free money," like many new credit card holders have.  Now, I not only have a maxed out credit card, but two school loans as well.  Sometimes I feel completely overwhelmed when I think about the fact that whenever I try to pay down my credit card, the finance charge usually puts me back where I started.  And, the personal loans definitely add up.

My advice to anyone starting out with credit is to only have ONE credit card, and DO NOT use it for anything except emergencies.  School loans are something that I feel very differently about.  School loans, to me, are an investment in your future self.  I highly recommend them.   Find loans that have repayment options and interest rates that you are comfortable with.  I am so thankful because the reason why I attend college is because of school loans.
