Plot: New arrivals in school. Strangers who seem to know more than they do. A strange virus carried by bats with the capabilities of creating dangerous traits. A romance between the new arrivals and the top students.
Prologue
“There has been strange bats sightings being reported in Japan, we request residents to keep their windows closed and also if your children or any member arrive home with double pin prick marks please……….” The man on the TV screen spoke on.
A young girl with hair till her waist gave the screen a look and smirked. She then joined two other girls. The bats carried a virus that their bodies rejected. A virus if mutated could kill you.
The girls walked through an alley. They noticed a man withering in pain. There were pin prick marks on his neck and then suddenly his eyes turned blood red.
One of the girls walked towards him and suddenly slit his throat. The man screamed in pain and almost immediately turned to dust.
“They are increasing in number.” One of them whispered as they walked towards a white washed building as the stars twinkled as though they were crying.
Chapter 1 ~The strange students~
“Good morning class, we have new students today.” The teacher said pleasantly as she introduced the new students.
“I am Aiko, nice to meet you.” The student with hair up to her waist said.
“I am Mio, pleased to meet you.” The student next to Aiko, with shoulder length hair said bowing.
“I am Hotaru! It’s so good to meet you! I hope we can all be friends!” The third student with shoulder length brown hair with blonde high lights said excitedly.
“Very well, please sit next to our top students. They will help you in class. Please raise your hands as I speak, so that the girls will know where to sit.”
“Aiko-San, you will sit next to Nakajima-kun.” The boy named Nakajima raised his hand.
Aiko walked to the seat gracefully earning respectful glances from her peers.
“Mio-San, you will sit next Chinen-kun” The boy named Chinen unwillingly raised his hand.
Mio did not even take a glance at him and sat down and opened her books.
“Hotaru-San please sit next to Yamada…..” Yamada raised his hand without looking up.
Hotaru skipped towards her seat and sat down excitedly. She smiled at Yamada shyly making the boy look at her.
“Hi! I am Hotaru; it’s nice to meet you.” Hotaru extended her hand and smiled.
Yamada nodded and shook her hand and smiled softly. Unlike the other two students, she was friendly and cheerful.
“Umm…Do you have a last name?” Yamada asked curiously.
“Hmmm….Not that I remember.” Hotaru replied when suddenly there the sound of banging.
“Hotaru! Learn to keep things to yourself!” Mio hissed while Aiko just looked at her.
“Sorry….” Hotaru looked into her books sad.
~After class~
Aiko silently tapped the edges of her book before placing them into her desk. She looked up to see her table surrounded by students of both gender.
“What’s your last name?” A boy asked randomly.
Aiko sighed and started to rummage amongst her books ignoring them.
“Hey HEY!” Some of the girls called out to Hotaru who smiled brightly.
“May I help you in any way?” Hotaru asked cheerfully.
“Want to have lunch with us?”
“Sorry, but Mio and Aiko already have asked me to join them.” Hotaru looked sad.
“Ne….Where is Mio?” One of the boys asked looking at Mio’s seat.
“Hotaru….Let’s go.” Aiko said standing up.
“Hai!!!” Hotaru ran after Aiko.
“Those girls are strange.” Yuto commented as they walked outside the class.
“Hotaru seems normal though….” Yamada replied as he read his book.
“I don’t know, there is something sinister about them. I mean they seem to be together all the time.” Chinen replied when all three of them stopped.
“Together?” The boys had a weird face.
“No way….right…I mean they seem straight…..” Yuto breathed out slowly.
“Dude! No! They might be just loners!” Chinen said shaking his head and they walked ahead and saw the girls.
“Ahhh!!!! Yamada-kun!” Hotaru waved and smiled.
“Yo!” All the three boys smiled when Aiko and Mio just glanced at them coldly.
“Let’s go Hotaru.” Aiko said and Mio dragged the girl with them.
“Sigh….”
~That night~
Aiko, Mio and Hotaru silently walked through the corridors. Aiko suddenly pulled her head band off, letting her hair lose. The wind blew her hair; she smiled.
“Hotaru, you need to stop giving those boys the false expression.” Mio smirked as they walked down to the basement.
They walked through the basement, their eyes were serious, like that night it all started. Mio and Hotaru suddenly stopped.
“Who’s there?” Mio asked rudely.
“It’s just us! God!” A voice said.
Yamada, Nakajima and Chinen with three other girls appeared. Aiko suddenly tensed, why were they here?
“Why are you here?” Hotaru asked shocking everyone with her cold tone.
“We were curious what you guys were up to.” Yamada replied.
“Shhh!” Aiko suddenly became alert.
“What’s…..” One of the girls asked when suddenly strange noises came.
Suddenly they were surrounded by huge bats. Aiko, Mio and Hotaru pulled out weapons. Hotaru had a pistol while Mio had a hand gun. Aiko was the only one with a sword. She made a small cut on the sword, allowing the blood to stain the sword.
“Here it goes!” Aiko swung her sword destroying the first few bats.
Hotaru and Mio started to shoot killing the bats.
“Stop!!! Don’t kil….” One of the girls screamed when a bat bit her.
“No!!!!!” Mio quickly killed the bat and tended to the girl while Hotaru and Aiko attacked the rest of the bats.
A few hours passed. Aiko slayed the last bat and then turned to Mio who showed a thumbs up after injecting the girl with a fluid.
“Ne….Did anyone else get bitten?” Hotaru asked suddenly.
Aiko looked at another girl who was standing in the corner. She shook her head while breathing very hard.
“How long has it been?” Aiko asked dripped more of her blood onto the sword.
“I got bitten last nigh……” The girl suddenly gagged.
“Ne? Are you….” Chinen was about to go near the girl when Mio held on to his hand tightly.
The girl suddenly grew fangs and ran at them when Aiko countered quickly and cut the girl’s head off. The girl screamed and then turned to dust.
“What did you do?!?!?” Chinen asked angrily while the other two girls were shocked.
“Something we did to prevent a epidemic.” Aiko replied after covering her sword and walking away.
“Stop! You could have cured her! You cured one of us!” Yuto said holding her wrist.
Aiko glared at him. Yuto suddenly felt scared looking at her and let go of her.
“The one I cured was within time limit of being saved. If the virus stays in the body more than 6 hours, then it’s too late to save them.” Mio explained.
“But it’s still wrong to kill them!” Yamada said when Hotaru suddenly looked at him.
“We did the right thing. You will eventually understand. Let’s go.” Hotaru said coldly and all three girls walked away.
“Case done.” Aiko muttered as the other two girls smirked.
“What’s going on? Who are they?” Yuto, Yamada and Chinen looked at the girls walking away.
A virus was on the loose. The virus was carried by bats, once the virus entered the human body, they gave some strange traits to the human body. That’s why they existed, to stop this. Little did they know, someone was watching them.
“So they are here huh? The girls who are immune to the virus…..” A smirked formed and the sound of shoes walking away could be heard.
