Hey there!
Somebody posted a link to this Japanese fan's blog, in which they reported what happened during the private event KAT-TUN held with those who won that sort of lottery after Honey's release. Since this event will be released in the DVD soon, I thought it'd be cool to translate this fanrepo, so you could already have a taste of the event too!
Hope you enjoy it 💗💙💜
I'm just gonna translate the talked parts the fan reported, as all the other details about stage and outfits will be out in Honey dvd too lol
Mind that it is a fanreport and that I wasn't there, so ofc I don't know the details of anything and the exact words they said, I'm just translating what the fan wrote
Nakamaru: Errr... Good evening, it's KAT-TUN/laugh/. That's close (T/N: from what I got from the description, the main stage was close to the fans' seats)
Kamenashi: It is close, indeed. It's embarrassing... /laugh/
Nakamaru: I'm Nakamaru Yuichi
Kamenashi: I'm Kamenashi Kazuya
Ueda: I'm Ueda Tatsuya
Nakamaru: So, you are the ones who won (T/N: A lottery thingy accessible with Honey copies, iirc)
Ueda: You're using all your luck here, aren't you? So, be careful on your way back home /laugh/
Nakamaru: The atmosphere everyone has is different from concerts'
Kamenashi: It matches the venue! This is the kind of place where I want to properly enjoy what you are wearing and your make up /laugh/
Nakamaru: Is that Giroppon? (T/N: this stands for Roppongi, it's part of a sort of secret Japanese language called zuuja-go, where certain words are read backwards. Giroppon is then mostly used in tv or entertainment industry)
Kamenashi: It gives the feeling of men with women, right?
Ueda: The people who look all classy now, are waving their penlights during Peacefuldays' "K! A!" part on our concerts /laugh/
Nakamaru: Surely, all the people here will be laughing at the dirty jokes, right?
They sang Ain't Seen Nothing Yet
Kamenashi: I feel so nervous!
Nakamaru: It's indeed so close -to the fans-. Is it okay if we ask you not to look? /laugh/
Kamenashi: I've never sung in such an environment, so I'm not used to it
Ueda: Eh? Is it so?
Kamenashi: Doesn't this make you nervous?
Ueda: I'm totally okay /laugh/
Kamenashi: Eh? Where are you looking at?
Ueda: I'm looking at this area here (the front row)
Ueda: Ah! I got it! Looking at the lyrics!
Nakamaru: Coz there are the monitors down there /laugh/
They sang Love Supply next
Nakamaru: The other day we finished our concerts. How was it?
Kamenashi: So?
Nakamaru: Do you feel accomplished?
Kamenashi: I don't think I really feel any feeling of accomplishment? I'm already thinking of what to do next
Nakamaru: Me too. Like, yesterday I guess, I woke up and I thought "Ah~ I better have done this like that back then", but then I was like "Ah, right. It's over". What about you, Ueda-kun?
Ueda: I was already thinking "Ah~ It's over!!" on the plane or on my way back home
Nakamaru: We are insensitive to feeling of achievement
Kamenashi: Ueda is sensitive to it, while we aren't (T/N: in Japanese, the term for "insensitive" is donkan, which, the fan said, Kame pronounced as dankan)
Nakamaru: What was that? Like a foreigner helper /laugh/
Kamenashi: Dankan?
Kamenashi: Though, maybe when I was younger I did think "Ah~ It's over!"
Nakamaru: So, at this point we'd like to have a little special corner!
Kamenashi: One of the lottery winners among you will be invited to Nakamaru-kun's house /laugh/
Nakamaru: ...。I wanted to reply back with a fun come-back, but nothing came to my mind. Ah! I'll give you dry shrimp /laugh/
Nakamaru: We'd like to take some of your questions here and have something like a Q&A corner. Since I guess you'll need some time to think of some questions, we'll be singing another song in the meantime so you can think of -a question- as we sing.
Kamenashi: We'll be singing while -they think-?! /laugh/
Ueda: They won't be able to think! /laugh/
They sang HONESTY
Nakamaru: How was it? Did you think? Shall we try to do it by raising hands?
Kamenashi: Though, the ones on the top, their faces are being reflected in the glass
Ueda: Looks like an haunted mansion /laugh/
Nakamaru: Then, let's start with the ones on top
Kamenashi: (to the fan) What happened to your neck? Are you alright?
Ueda: Eh? Did you get hurt?
Fan: Since always...
Kamenashi: Take care
Nakamaru: So, what's your question?
Fan: Well, I'd like to get married, but I've been a KAT-TUN fan for a long time, so I can't help but always compare.
Ueda: To us?
Fan: Yes. I do it with faces, but also personality
Kamenashi: We only think about being popular?! /laugh/
Nakamaru: Because none of us is married
Ueda: (to the fan) Do you think you really want to get married?
Fan: I do want to
Ueda: What are you thinking about after marriage?
Kamenashi: Marriage isn't the end. What do you want to do after getting married?
Fan: I want to create a place where I can find my peace of mind once I get back
(T/N: The fan who wrote the report said KAT-TUN got really serious about this matter and they went on for about another 10 mins lol, but didn't write further)
Nakamaru: It's almost time for the next question, or else we won't have time for any more /laugh/. Since we tried raising hands first before, we've also prepared a lottery box, from which we will draw the next person for the question
Kamenashi: What if we get somebody who doesn't have any question?
Ueda: Is there even such a person?! /laugh/
Nakamaru: If that happens, we'll have them say "pass" /laugh/
Nakamaru is the first drawing the winner from the box
Nakamaru: Do you have any question? Even if you don't have any, is there anything you want to tell KAT-TUN?
Fan: I can't really speak Japanese
Nakamaru: Where are you from?
Fan: I'm Thai
Kamenashi: You're from Thailand? The Pattaya Music festival!
Fan: I've known you since then
Nakamaru: Eeeh?
Kamenashi: The running Tatsuya! /laugh/
Ueda: Ah, right right!
Kamenashi: We were riding the bus, and there was a fan shouting "Tatsuya", holding his uchiwa and running side-by-side with the bus /laugh/
Ueda: That was amazing!
Kamenashi: It's a legend among KAT-TUN/laugh/
Nakamaru: You're not the "running Tatsuya", right?
Fan: That was my friend
KAT-TUN: Eeeeeh? /laugh/
Nakamaru: Sorry. Do you have any question?
Fan: I love KAT-TUN, so I studied Japanese, came to Japan and got married
Kamenashi: You got married! To a Japanese?
Fan: Yes. We also have a child
Kamenashi: How old?
Fan: Second year of elementary school
Ueda: Ooh!
Fan: I went to the concert with my daughter the other day, but this time I was the only one who could come to the event, so she told me "why only mum can go to it"
Nakamaru: Who does your daughter like?
Fan: She likes Ueda-san
Ueda: When you get home, pat her head for me! Don't just put your hand on it, but caress it like this! (he moved his hand as if he was patting someone's head)
Nakamaru: Then, draw the next one
Kamenashi: Will you do it, Ueda?
Ueda: 4th floor, A12
*silence*
Ueda: Eh? There isn't?! Is it missing?
Nakamaru: Try taking another one /laugh/
Ueda: (to the fan) Do you have any questions?
Fan: Don't KAT-TUN use instagram or any other sns?
Nakamaru: That's a good question
Ueda: Like, personally?
Fan: Either personally or as a group
Kamenashi: Isn't now the timing? Who uses it among Johnny's?
Fan: Domoto Koichi-kun or Tsuyoshi-kun, or also Naniwa Danshi
Nakamaru: Can I also ask a question, instead? Do Naniwa Danshi handle their activities (on sns) themselves? Or is the staff editing the materials?
Kamenashi: Wouldn't it be scary if she knew? /laugh/
Kamenashi: Although, when you do various things you have to properly use them (sns). I'm finally updating (jweb) once a week! /laugh/. How often do you guys do it?
Nakamaru: I update mine everyday
Kamenashi: That's normal Nakamaru-kun behaviour. As for me, I'd rather do the content I have at the moment
Nakamaru: Next is Kamenashi-kun?
Kamenashi: (to the fan) Do you have any questions?
Fan: During the concert you talked about onsen, but will Kamenashi-kun and Ueda-kun go to the onsen together in future?
Kamenashi: Did you dream of that? (T/N: I guess he refers to her saying they said something like that)
Ueda: I wouldn't go! I wouldn't be able to take it easy
Kamenashi: One goes there to relax, but if there's somebody else you have to be really careful of things such as who's gonna go out first, right? /laugh/
Ueda: If we go, we'd be going for a tv show
Kamenashi: Ah! As idols! Then, let's go! Let's plan to go to the onsen together! What you say?
Ueda: Y... yeah /laugh/
Kamenashi: Let's talk about that on LINE some day! /laugh/
Nakamaru: Then, I'll draw next. (To the fan) Do you have any questions?
Fan: Whenever I do the chores, I listen to KAT-TUN's songs. My daughter can remember the lyrics right away and always mocks me because I can't remember them. How do KAT-TUN remember the lyrics?
Ueda: I guess, I remember as I sing
Kamenashi: I read the lyrics while singing
Nakamaru: When we record songs, we usually repeat the same phrase over and over, so we memorise it even if we don't like that
Kamenashi: Then, we add to this with the concerts
Ueda: They say you remember the lines better if you hear them out loud
Kamenashi: It looks like hearing it out loud is really important. But there are times where the lyrics are similar and I end up saying the wrong lines. During the concert with CRYSTAL MOMENT, the lyrics were similar and I got them wrong /laugh/. I might have done it today too, didn't I?
Ueda: Well, if they're similar then it's okay
Nakamaru: In my case, I wanted to add some Fukuoka-style lyrics the other day for the last day, but I had to think of it and nothing came to my mind, so I couldn't come up with anything. Then, even though I wanted to say "Fukuoka", I didn't and ended up singing "lalala~".
Remembering lyrics while doing the chores is hard, so that might be why (you can't remember them). In future, try listening to the songs while reading the lyrics.
Nakamaru: Next is Ueda-kun?
Ueda: Yes. (To the fan) Do you have any questions?
Fan: Do you plan to re-record any old song?
Ueda: Nope!
Nakamaru: We don't plan to. Why did you think something like that?
Fan: Since KAT-TUN became three, when listening to their songs it feels a bit weird to listen to the older ones
Ueda: Is that so? How did you (T/N: become a fan?... the report was vague as well, but I think he asked if she's become a fan more recently, maybe? Given what they talk about after it)
Fan: Well...
Nakamaru: We're happy with that too
Kamenashi: I mean, the 15-year-olds weren't even born when we debuted
Ueda: Right~
Kamenashi: We~ll, then re-recording songs could be our future task
Nakamaru: Thank you
Nakamaru: Then, Kamenashi-kun is next
Kamenashi: (To the fan) Do you have any questions?
Fan: Is there anything the three of you would like to do in the future?
Nakamaru: It sounds like an idol-magazine's question
Kamenashi: Basically, I've done what I wanted to do~
Ueda: An outdoors concert?
Kamenashi: We wanted to do it for our 5th anniversary, but we couldn't. That was our 5th anniversary, even back then a lot of things happened
Nakamaru: We've finally calmed down /laugh/
Kamenashi: I'm often asked "How many of you are there now?" /laugh/
Ueda: Thinking of it like that, we're amazing, saying it from a different perspective. The three of us spent the longest time together, right?
Kamenashi: I want to hold regular events where we can connect
Nakamaru: I want to film a PV
Kamenashi and Ueda: Eh? A PV?!
Nakamaru: I'd organise and edit it
Ueda: Are you okay?! Wouldn't it be B-class? /laugh/
Nakamaru: It'd be better to have an approximate budget. But the result might be so (b-class) /laugh/
Nakamaru: Is Kame next?
Kamenashi: Isn't Ueda?
Ueda: It's a long way from here (left first) to there (next to Nakamaru's right)?! /laugh/
Fan: I didn't think I'd win, so I didn't think of any question
Another fan: What is it that made you think you got lucky so far?
Kamenashi: As expected, having met Johnny-san
Nakamaru: That was the luckiest thing indeed
Kamenashi: If I didn't enter Johnny's, I wonder what I'd be doing
Ueda: I think the same
Kamenashi: Probably, I'd be coach for a junior baseball team
Ueda: Sounds good!
Kamenashi: Then, people in Edogawa got married early and already have children
Nakamaru: We entered the entertainment industry -when young-, so people from society move fast -for us-
Kamenashi: I mean, it's already been 24 years?!
Nakamaru: That much?!
Kamenashi: I entered when I was 12, now I'm 36
Ueda: Then, it's been 24 years for me too
Nakamaru: 24 years~
Kamenashi: I'm referring to the members who left as well, but we also made a choice. We are here because we chose to stay in the group. If we thought we wanted to leave, then we would have quit, but our choice was this.
Nakamaru: It's about time, so shall we sing the last song? That song
Kamenashi: The last song is that one, right? Then, listen to it, Gake no ue no Ponyo!
Ueda and Nakamaru: Why?!
Kamenashi: Didn't we talk about it before?
Ueda: That was Anya! From Spy Family! /laugh/
(T/N: during one of their MC in the concerts, Ueda said he was watching Spy Family and mentioned Anya, so I guess Kame mistook her name with Ponyo's lol)
They sang Precious One
The fan who wrote the report wrote a general thing about the final speech in which they basically said they'd like to hold events like that regularly and that after the event was over, there'd be a send-off. So, basically the fans stood behind poles with red belts and could wave KAT-TUN more closely as they passed by.
