Summary: Yasu is insecure and Ohkura feels it. Won't winter be best if the both of them spent it together without doubts?

One humid day on a park where Tacchon and Yasu were strolling silently along a sidewalk, some leaves of the trees showered on top of them. It was beautifully orange-autumn and Yasu wondered how many autumns will the both of them spend together in the future. Of all things that Yasu didn’t want to think about was his lover leaving him for another- he knew better not to confront Tadayoshi about him and Ryo. It was painful but he would have to bear with his doubts since he trusts and loves Tadayoshi that much.
Ohkura spun around and smiled at his lover and stopped walking when he spotted a bench near them. He held Yasu's hands and leaded him there where they sat. "Do you want something to eat?" He asked, his voice soft and his breath warm.
"No thanks, I'm still full. You eat if you want," Yasu replied with a smile without looking at the latter. Is this the right time to ask him about his insecurities? Or will he get mad for even asking? Or worse, what if he won't answer him because it's...true?
Yasu felt a hand on top of his head and was a bit shocked when Ohkura bent over to see his face. They remained silent as Ohkura stared at Yasu's sweating face. He grinned and asked, "Ne, what's wrong?" "No thing's wrong." Yasu nodded and averted his eyes. It was too painful- to be with the one you love and feel insecure about his loyalty. But he has to get it out of his mind, or else everything would get more painful.
Ohkura frowned and crossed his arms across his chest. "You're not telling me something."
"I'm just hungry."
"Didn't I ask you if you wanted to eat?" Ohkura stood up and knelt in front of Yasu to look at his face, placing his hands on top of Yasu's knees. Irritated, he frowned and made Yasu twitch. "What do you want? I don't want a hungry boyfriend."
Yasu shrugged and forced a smile, "I take it back. No, I'm not hungry. Maybe I'm just nervous, ne?"
"Nervous about what?" He giggled. "About me?"
"Maybe."
"Aw, Yasu. You're not telling me something. Is there something I need to know?" He sat beside Yasu again and saw a beautiful cherry blossom on top of his shoe. He picked it up and placed it in Yasu's left palm and smiled, "Winter is coming." "How will you spend it?" Yasu turned around to see Ohkura's embarrassed face. It made it smile himself.
"I want to go shopping with you again."
"That's great." He felt the petals of the plant in his hands shyly.
"You know, I'm excited for another single. Because if we have another chance to do unit songs, I'd gladly do it with you."
Yasu couldn't help but blush and shuffle his feet in embarrassment. "What if we have that chance? Would we sing something like Desire? Or... Torn?"
He waved his hand in disagreement. "Nah, no way. We would do something different since we're a different pair. Actually, I feel most comfortable and real with you, of course."
Yoshi. This is the right time to ask him about that thing. Yasu thought. he breathed a big amount of air and ended up coughing in the middle, and laughing at himself for his stupidness. He looked at Ohkura who has his brow raised. Ooops. Okay, no joking. "I don't feel quite comfortable with you nowadays. Maybe it's because I'm insecure that you and Ryo or other guys or whatever I'm worried about, um, I don't know..."
The latter took a minute to swallow his lover's words and blinked a few times when he heard Ryo's name. He answered, "I will never cheat on you, Yasu. Don't you trust me? I want to spend Christmas with only you and none but you. Torn is just a song, and Desire, too. Desshou?" When Yasu didn't reply and avoided his stare, he frowned and felt a bit awkward. Doesn't he trust me? I have always trusted him, but...
"I love you. You're mine, right? Right..?"
In a heartbeat, Ohkura smirked and hugged Yasu tightly and pulled back to kiss his forehead softly without a sound. Cherry blossoms started to fall again, along with a cold wind that signaled the start of winter.
"Is that a yes..?" Yasu softly asked.
"...Yes."
"I'm glad." He smiled and hugged him again for warmth and sighed in relief. It was good that there was Ohkura Tadayoshi that held him this tight and safely... Or else, where would he be without the person he loved the most? Without Tadayoshi, snow would be too cold, too many, endless and lonely. Now, he was sure that there would be Ohkura Tadayoshi who would kiss or call him good night every night and a Tadayoshi who would provide him protection and happiness all throughout his life. He was satisfied- he trusted Ohkura with what he said and Ryo couldn't take him away with Torn or anything. Not that he was sure that there was something really going on between them, he preferred not to ask and treasure this warm moment forever.
The both of them might not be seen by the media that much often now, but the good thing is they both had each other in their hearts and that's what matters most. There would always be this pair, this pair that loved each other more than themselves. Kanjani8 started it all and Yasu was overjoyed that through Kanjani8, he met the greatest man who ever lived in his life.
Christmas would be dull without Ohkura, he thought, and smirked at the thought that he clings to Ohkura that much.
A snowflake cooled Yasu's head and Ohkura too, and hugged him tighter as if there was no tomorrow to rely on.
