The state of my things

Yesterday was super crazy! Todd woke up at 6am, showered and left for Baltimore. I got up at 6:30, dressed and rode Izzy to work. I got out at 1:15 and went to the post office to buy stamps from a vending machine. That took way too long. Then I rode to the laser hair removal place and got an underarm treatment. I've been going since April of '09- there's a big difference and I haven't actually shaved my underarms in about a year, but there are still a lot of dark, stubborn hairs!

After the laser treatment I rode to the gym and had a blissful >550 calorie workout. I rode home, sweat and all and waited for my sister. They arrived and we loaded an old loveseat frame into her husband's truck that I was keeping for my mom and I followed them to my mom's house. We delivered the frame, then went for pizza.

I got home around 9pm, showered and got dressed as a pirate for pirate night at Fallout. I wore a tye-dyed black and white silk scarp around my head with my hair somewhat sticking out of the top. I pinned my hair to keep it up and out. I wore my black tank-top style corset with a pair of black linen capris and these tall boots I got in Philly last year; they have the sagging appearance and the top is folded over, just like pirate boots! I wore a wrist full of black and white bangle bracelets and eye makeup.

I'm not a makeup person, but I bought some eye products recently for the fun of it. I bought $8 Revlon Stiletto mascara in soft black and it is divine. I bought an eyelash curler too! I bought an eye shadow brush and put copper/brown eyeshadow on as eyeliner and blue eyeshadow. It looked subtle, but good. I have issues with eye shadow anyway, since when my eyes are open, they open all the way and you can't see my eyelids. I have to really convince myself that wearing eyeshadow is ever worth the effort. With my naturally oily skin, I have to wear a primer under the eyeshadow to make it stick and not roll into my crease. As you can see, there is a lot of effort involved. However, working at Walgreens gives me great sale opportunities and a sweet discount so I didn't spend much on makeup.

Before Todd left, he gave me a one hundred dollar bill with which to play, so I drank myself silly. I started out with my "usual", which is a "butterfinger"; it's a buttery nipple with milk or cream added, mixed as a drink. It tastes exactly like a Butterfinger candy bar. Then I had a drink consisting or orange and lemon vodkas, mixed with with Sprite with an orange wedge. That was fruity. Then I had a diet Coke. Right before last call, I had a dry martini with three (small) olives. Walking  home was fun. My friend Christine was with me all night, and we had a ton of fun.

Today I totally slept in; I didn't even wake up to pee! I got up around 2pm. My dad called and said my grandmother fell and isn't hurt but is in the hospital for observation. I'm doing laundry now. Today I plan to relax! I need to buy bread, so I'll walk to the grocer tonight. I'll watch some movies and read. I love weekends!
