Zombieland and my productive weekend!

Last week was so long. I hate working forty hours every week. It's such a waste of my time. Anyway, around Wednesday I developed this cold/allergy attack business. So, Thursday when I came home from work, I typically would have gone running but instead I sat on the couch with the cats piled on me and I passed out. I went to bed sometime late. Friday morning I got up and felt motivated to cut things.

Around Halloween, I borrowed a jigsaw from a friend of mine and then did nothing with it because of the weather, being busy and going out of town. I trimmed the top of a dresser drawer so it would close and I chopped three bushes that were growing into the chain link fence in both my front and back yards. I was so relieved to get those jobs done! It was freezing outside though and I was wearing layers but it was so cold!

Our shed is about halfway done. It would be done by now if the weather hadn't been so moist recently. I'm so excited about having a shed. Our lawnmower still lives in our dining room. That's just not right.

On Saturday my mom, sister and I had our annual Carytown shopping extravaganza. It was great. I got some shopping done and I scored two used CDs that I've wanted for years; "Use Your Illusion II" by Guns 'N Roses and "A Boy Named Goo" by Goo Goo Dolls. I had both cassette tapes back in the day but it's been many, many years.

So, tomorrow I'm joining the YMCA so I can feel motivated to work out. I visited a local gym called Richmond Balance and the guy gave me a tour and we talked and it was everything I want for working out. It's within walking distance of my house and it's 24 hours. However, it's $12 more per month than the Y and the membership fee is more. I can't justify paying more because the gym is 24 hours and close to my house. The Y is on my way home anyway.

Happy Monday, everyone!

edit I saw "Zombieland" and loved it! See my comment to misfit for additional information. (Good eye, Betsy!)
