Oh my, I have become the most terrible LJer.
Last month I ran the Bristol Half Marathon. It was slower than I expected. Just by a couple of minutes, but I'd hoped to be faster, especially considering my
bathroom malfunction last year.
But there it is. The start was at 10 a.m., and the sun was hot. I can pull out all the excuses in the world, but the fact is I worked as hard as I could. I hit a new maximum heart rate in the half last mile.
The organisers once again did a magnificent job of hiding the mile markers. Anything with an asterisk is averaged.

Afterward, Laura and I had lunch at
The Boston Tea Party on Park Street with Richard. I suggested that she take all of their tea bags, run down to the docks and throw them in. She declined. Later we had a couple of beers at a pub that my cousin used to manage. We met with Liz and her lovely friend Laura.
