Erin and I watched The Stepford Wives this afternoon. That movie is a little messed up. I mean, roboticized women? Aaauuuuggghhh! Man, I thought I was happy and smiled a lot. After watching that movie, I feel like a depressed lady.
Anyway. Getting the movie was a little difficult. Erin and I went to Family Video and perused different titles and finally decided on the Stepford Wives. We didn't remember seeing it on the New Release shelves, we checked the Nearly New. (For those not familiar with Family Video, movies go from New Release to Nearly New to either Family Favorites or lettered shelves of older movies that aren't favorites). We saw a DVD of the movie, so we grabbed it and rented it. We get back to Erin's and realize that we got the 1975 version. 1975!!!! So we go back, tell them what happened, and got the new one. The good news is that we got it for the Nearly New price.
I ask you....How can a movie from 1975 be on the nearly new shelf???? Is a movie that is THIRTY years old considered NEARLY NEW?!?!?!?
Thought?
Well I'm off.....
