Buffy set her jaw at Faith's words. She knew just exactly what to say to get under her skin. And always attempted to use it to her advantage. "Faith, I think your jealousy is showing," she said sweetly, "And you're still going for the boyfriend? That's so tired. Find a new theme."

She snorted as Spike came up behind the other Slayer to whisper something to her, "Boy, you're really sunk to new depths. Teaming up with the evil undead now."

Folding her arms, she rolled her eyes as Spike rambled off his barrage of attempted insults. "Actually, Sunnydale's been just great since you left. You should stay gone, really," she said, "And not that it's any of your business, but we actually we came here looking for Faith and her sister."

She turned her attention back to Faith, feeling more and more unsure about the whole thing. She wanted to help, but obviously there was no way she could get her to cooperate now. Even if she had jumped out of the shadows and been nice, she had a feeling she'd get the exact same reaction. "You have to stop whatever you're doing, Faith," she said, "Especially now that you have a sister with you. And I don't think Spike here has any qualms about making her a meal."

Faith turned to Spike after he smacked her and she turned and punched him in the face. "You and me, we're keepin' it platonic," she warned him. "So hands off until I allow it, got it?" She glared. Sure he was helping her out, and at the moment, he was the only one on her side besides her sister, but that didn't mean his hands could go wherever they damn well felt, and especially not in front of Buffy.

Right now, her beef was with Angel and Buffy. Where Buffy was, Angel was nearby.

She turned back to Buffy, trying to burn a hole into the blond Slayer's forehead. "Me teamin' up with the undead?" She laughed suddenly. "You're the one that started it all, B. In fact, you picked the undead over ME. And don't go on usin' my sister as your little plaything to throw back at me. I'm showin' her what a bunch of fuckin' liars you are, how faces you think you can trust just slap you across your own."

"You're one to point out just who you can't trust, aren't you?" Angel said, finally coming out to see them. "None of us did anything to you, Faith, but try to help you, and you spit that back into our faces by working for the thing that was trying to bring the world as we all knew it to an end, and now you're trying to warp your sister's mind just like yours is warped."

Ange was already tired of this. Especially since she had decided to try and bring Spike to the party as well. The only thing that Spike could do is cause trouble, although he typically wasn't too good at the whole 'planning' aspect of being evil. Mainly just causing random problems and sucking.

"And really, Spike, what ARE you doing here? Don't you have a better half to go pine over or something?" At least Drusilla was interesting, even if she was crazy. Spike was typically just a petulant pain in the butt.

Faith turned at Angel's voice, glaring at his self-righteous talk. "Oh, right, 'cause tryin' to turn me into the Council was really gonna help. All that bullshit about walkin' into the fuckin' darkness, Angel? Me and you, we're the same? I don't think so..."

She narrowed her eyes at Angel. "And it's easy for you to yap your fuckin' mouth when you were the one that she was pinin' over while I got ignored. B pulled me into her little group then she decides she can't stand me bein' in it." She pointed towards Dawn. "I'm just showin' my sister what losers I got mixed up with and never to trust a pretty, pale face, that's what."

Then in an act of anger, Faith launched herself at Angel, punching him in the face, hard.

Buffy wrinkled her nose in very visible disgust as Spike attempted to feel up the other Slayer, "You can have him," she said, her disgust turning into mild amusement when Faith hit him. She had a feeling there was some major embarrassment on Faith's part that he had almost gotten away with that.

She rolled her eyes at Faith's words, "I put you first for the longest time, but you ignored me. You didn't want our help when you so obviously needed it." She glanced away for a quick moment as she saw Angel finally join the party. Back-up was always helpful, especially in this very volatile situation.

"The only person who ordered the Council was Wesley. We had nothing to do with it, Faith," she said, her anger rising rather quickly, "Angel, me, everyone was just trying to help you in a normal way."

Buffy let out a frustrated sigh, not wanting to resort to violence to get her to listen. She tried that time and again and it just made things worse, "Get your history right. I wanted you to be with us. I wanted you to help us and work with us, but you couldn't deal. You couldn't deal with having people that actually give a shit about you being in your life, so you wigged, but we still tried to help you."

Clearly, her words were ineffectual as Faith launched herself at Angel. Buffy took the chance to throw her own punch towards Spike, just to disorient him so he couldn't stop her before pulling Faith off of Angel and throwing her to the concrete.

Angel also made a slight face when he saw Spike try to feel up Faith as well. He didn't know what the other vampire was trying to accomplish by doing that, other than possibly getting staked for trying. He was actually kind of glad when the other Slayer smacked him away. Good for her. At least she wasn't completely out of her mind then. He couldn't help but feel that, if she were more stable at the moment, then maybe she wouldn't be so ready to fight.

Then again, what did he know about her, really? "She's right, Faith," Angel told her. "We didn't ask the Council to come and try to take you away. We were ready to help you on our own." Maybe if they had included Wesley in it, or at least told him what they were doing, that wouldn't have happened. However, hindsight was 20/20. Angel just had to admit that he hadn't even remembered Wesley's existence at the time. He was focused on trying to help Faith.

Who was punching him right now. Even though she had put a lot of her strength into the punch, it didn't knock him down. He had been hit by plenty of Slayers in his day, including Buffy, and Faith was lacking a lot of training that many of them had. Brute strength could only take you so far, after all. He rolled with most of the punch. It still stung like a bitch, but it didn't knock him off his feet like she may have intended.

As she was still coming, Angel grabbed a hold of her wrist and twisted it behind her in an effort to pin her down and against the wall. He didn't want to kill her. Hell, he didn't really want to hurt her. Hopefully a little pain would help clear her mind, though. You'd be amazed at how well that can work sometimes. "We still only want to help, Faith. It doesn't have to be this way."

Lies. It was all fuckin' lies in what they were saying about trying to help her, trying to put her first. If that was the truth, then why didn't Buffy include her when she first knew Angel was back from wherever the hell he was? She made her believe she was in her little Scooby Gang, but they knew about him and it was XANDER who told her Angel was back.

"You had nothin' to do with the Council, B?" Faith sneered. "Wow, I kinda don't believe that shit of an excuse. Last I heard, we were both part of the Council at the time." She cocked her head to the side. "Weren't we?"

Lies.

That's when she attacked Angel.

But her move, while it felt pretty good to make contact against the vampire's face, didn't do what she hoped it would which was knock him down and beat him silly. Instead, he got the best of her and she found herself slammed up against the nearest wall. She let out a grunt of pain.

"Stop saying that!" she yelled, trying to twist her way out of his hold. "That's all you keep sayin'. 'We'll help you, Faith' 'Faith, we're your fuckin' friends, it's okay.' And yet you're the reason I found Wilkins more helpful than any of your asses!"

Buffy thought Faith was doubting herself for a moment when she questioned their part with the Council. "After they fired Giles, I was pretty much done with the Council. I hated Wesley and wanted nothing to do with him. I didn't officially quit the Council until right before graduation, but in my mind, I quit long before that."

Of course, explaining herself did nothing since Faith went right for Angel again. She felt like they were getting nowhere with this. Maybe they could just knock her out, shackle her up and try to knock some sense into her again.

If they did that without the Council intervening, minus the fact that both Wesley and Giles were up there, maybe they could get through to her. Of course, they also had the problem of Spike and the sister to deal with. Ugh, this is was just getting overly complicated and Buffy was truly at a loss. If Faith truly believed they were out to get her, what was there to do to convince her otherwise?

It all seemed pretty hopeless. She faltered for a moment as Faith fought back against Angel, trying not to let this hopelessness wash over here. She shook her head to pull herself back into the fight, listening to Faith's words, as Angel finally got a good grip of her, "Faith! You're not listening!" her voice was hoarse, maybe from her desperation, "You went to the mayor because you didn't want to face the fact that you killed a man, which we wanted to help you through. We didn't want to punish you, we wanted to help you get through it because it's not the kind of thing you just get over. And even now, you have to let us help you for your sister's sake!"

Angel kept a strong grip on Faith as she tried to twist her way out of it. "It would be easier if we were lying, wouldn't it?" he asked her. "Because then you switching sides would be a lot easier on your own conscience." He shook his head. He wasn't sure if he or Buffy was getting through to her at all. He was fairly certain that all she wanted to do was run around and do whatever she wanted. They were probably doing good that she hadn't killed someone else yet.

Yet he still wanted to reach her. He knew how she felt. "This isn't just about you, anymore, Faith," he pointed out to her. "You have someone else to take care of now, and you can't keep running away from all of your problems just because you don't want to deal with them. You need to deal with this right now. If not for your sake, then for your sister's sake."

He actually sighed. He wasn't sure if he was getting through to her at all. "So stop fighting us and realize that we want to help you. To be of any use to you you have to let us try to help." He wanted to shake her until she listened to him, but he doubted that would do any good. She would probably use something like that as an excuse to run off again.

"It is easy to know that you guys are lying because that's all you seem to do to me!" Faith snapped at Angel. He had a death grip on her at this point so, no matter how much she struggled, she couldn't seem to get away from him. It was all they ever did to her was lie, it seemed. Angel had put her in chains and said stuff about wanting to help her, and then the Council had come for her and tried to take her away.

Talking to her about herself wasn't going to do any good. Talking to her about Dawn, though, might get some different results. She made a face when Angel brought up her sister. "Don't you even talk about her," she snapped at Angel. "You're not worthy of talking about her." Dawn, even though she had become street smart like Faith had, was still mostly an innocent in Faith's eyes. Faith wanted to protect her from everything, and that included these people, considering how badly they had made her feel.

"No...I went to Wilkins because you guys made it clear time and time again that I wasn't good enough to be in your little group," Faith snarled at Buffy. "You guys made that painfully obvious time and time again." She just needed to get away from these guys before she snapped and went insane or something. It almost felt like they were talking in circles.

She struggled against Angel, which seemed to only tighten his grip like a giant, hulking Chinese finger trap. "Well, Spike, if you'd like to help, that would be wicked awesome," Faith pointed out to him. She also almost mentioned that sunrise was a while away, but she figured he might be saying that to possibly drive Angel away, so she kept her mouth shut.

Buffy was feeling at a loss. Faith was totally unreceptive to their words, their pleading. She wasn't surprised, she knew she wouldn't come without a fight. And she was starting to wonder if they may need to knock her out, or at least tie her up.

"Stop blaming us, Faith," she said sternly, "This is about you. You killed a man, you tried to blame me, you hurt Xander, you made the choice to leave. I tried to help you, but you didn't want to hear it. And you clearly don't want to hear it now. I don't know what else to do."

She sucked in a breath, "If you keep going down this path, you'll wind up death. And Angel has a pretty damn good hold of you. I could easily make it so that this time you won't end up in just a coma." Buffy always worried it would come to this. And she had no desire to put her words into action. "But, I don't want it to come to that. I think you can still change."

She rolled her eyes at Spike's comment, "Maybe in a few hours. Nice try, Spike." She glanced around, looking for something with which to tie Faith's hands together, "Got any rope in your office?" she asked.

(OOC: Maybe we should knock Faith out? I can do that for my next comment. I highly doubt she'll come quietly all tied up.)

Angel was getting more and more frustrated with Faith by the moment. He was ready to just pick her up and carry her away, although, with her slayer strength, he doubted that would work. She'd attack one of them before they could even get her upstairs. It was either get her to come with them willingly or knock her out cold and tie her up later. One seemed unlikely and the latter wouldn't exactly lead to trust. They may not have a choice, though.

He glanced at Buffy when she threatened to basically kill Faith. He hoped that it wouldn't come to that. Then again, none of them thought that she would wake up from that coma. What she went through would have killed a normal person, and the doctors had said that her coma wouldn't end.

Angel snorted at Spike's comment. "Either someone doesn't understand time or is trying to distract us and fail," he muttered, but still plenty loud enough for all of them to hear. "Thought you were smarter than that, Spike. Guess I gave you too much credit."

He was actually glad that Buffy was bringing up the idea of rope. That meant keeping her alive and hopefully eventually getting through to her as well. "Got plenty, actually," he said, giving Buffy a nod to let her know that he knew what she was thinking.

(OOC: Go for it. Probably the only way for us to get her up there.)
