As Willow panicked on the bed since she could only hear Buffy's side of the conversation, Buffy didn't have to reveal the other end since she had blurted it out already. With wide eyes, she shrugged at Willow's 'sister' outburst. She mouthed an 'I have noooo clue' to her before Giles continued talking on the other end.
"I'm not sure," Buffy told him, "She kind of ran off. I know it wasn't really a good plan to let her go, but it's not like I could have stopped her. Well, I could have, but that probably would have just seriously messed up the whole trying to not make her all evil this time around, you know?"
As he suggested she come over, she stood up and started slipping on her coat, "I'll check the town and the places she used to hang, but I'm not sure if she'll wanna be found for a while. She seemed like she needed some serious time to deal," she said, "But, I'll check and bring her if I find her. See you in a bit."
She hung up the phone and looked at Willow, "I need to do a quick sweep before I head over to Giles' to see if I can find her at all," she said as she packed a few choice weapons into a shoulder bag, "Did you wanna go with me or are you wanting to crash all day?" Part of her wanted Willow as far from Faith as possible, just in case, but she knew that Willow would probably want to protect her--as best she could--and be there for her if and when the time came, hangover or not.
A frown creased Willow's brow. Just hearing one part of the conversation wasn't doing her headache any good. Concentrating was kind of a no go with it, even though she wouldn't have been able to follow it otherwise. She found herself confused though, with that snippets of the conversation she *could* hear.
Ran off? Let go? Buffy could have stopped her? Who? Not the new sister, obviously, since they only just found out about her. Faith? But-but Willow thought that girl was with Joyce! What with the bad plannage and all she so very bravely hadn't told Buffy. Now Faith had ran off? Or not? Who had ran off? If it was someone not evil anymore then it had to be Faith.
Huh. Now she was thoroughly confused. Officially too. Just what she needed the one day in her *life* she got drunk. Okay, the one day in her life *after* she got drunk but that was technically. Ugh.
When Buffy hung up, Willow had slinked off the bed and was half heartily pawing through her clothes. Her head still felt like it was about to explode but hey, aspirin. She'd had aspirin, painkillers were of the good and they should start working any minute now. Or else. Seriously.
"I'm coming, I coming," she muttered, grabbing a sweater and a flowery skirt that so didn't match. "I thought Faith was with Joyce?" Willow blurted out as she eyes a pair of sandals and deemed them worthy enough or wearing once she got dressed. "Now she's not? She-- where is she? And what's this about a sister?"
When Buffy hung up, she saw that Willow was no longer crashed on her bed and instead getting out of her pajamas to join her. She smiled slightly, mildly amused that not even a monster hangover could keep her best friend from her Scooby duties. Part of her was glad that she was coming, but she really didn't like involving her friends with Faith. It was just a little too hairy of a situation.
She shook her head, "No, Faith left before I did. She kind of wigged after I told her all the stuff that happened last semester. I couldn't exactly stop her because, well, I'm not her mom or anything. Not that she would remember I was her mom, even if I was--" she paused, shaking her head.
"I'm not sure where she went. I'm assuming places she's familiar with or might remember. We should check by the mayor's office and probably the high school and maybe the Bronze," she suggested.
Pulling her jacket back on and slipping a stake into her back pocket, she headed for the door, "No clue about the sister thing. Faith never mentioned having one when we were all bestie slayers last year, so I don't know. Then again, she wasn't exactly little miss over-share, so I'm sure there's a lot we don't know about her. Either way, her sister is hanging out at Giles."
As she darted around the room getting dressed, Willow once again realised that she missed having their own bathroom like room. Dorms were all fine with the maturity thing and all, but they lacked on the privacy part of life. Good thing she was sharing with Buffy now and not some random girl who was gonna look at her strangely. What with the witchy books and the herby chanting at times.
Hopping around on one foot as she tried to pull on her skirt, Willow contemplated what to take with her. What with Faith out there and a Faith Sister and who knew what else! Clothes might totally be a first priority though. And ugh, not looking like she had a hangover. Okay, she *had* a hangover but she didn't need to look like it.
Willow grabbed her brush while she turned on the water. She started running it through her hair while plucking her toothbrush out of the cup on the sink with her other hand. Taking, like, a whole bottle of aspirin like stuff might be really smart too. She was still brushing her hair while she leaned in to brush her teeth as well. She was still listening to Buffy explain the whole how she didn't know where Faith was not while doing that.
Wait. No one knew where Faith was now? Great. Super scary great. Not like Faith was totally unpredictable was it? Yeah, yeah she was. Especially now with the maybe so called memory loss.
"So we gonna go see this sister too?" Willow asked, struggling to get the sweater over her head. She wrinkled her nose when she managed and then sighed when looking at herself in the mirror. Ugh. Badness. She shook her head, got a band for her hair and started to brush it into a messy ponytail.
"And if Faith has no memory," she went on while splashing some water on her face, "then how's she gonna know any spots? Oh!" Willow jerked up and beamed at Buffy for a second. "I can do a spell! You know, to track her down except that I'd need something that belonged to her which we so don't have."
Grimacing, Willow joined her friend at the door with an apologetic look. "Sorry," she mumbled, shrugging her shoulder. "If we had something that belonged to her I so coulda done the spell. And uhm- if I didn't have this headache I guess." Sighing, the red-head rubbed her temples and gestured toward the door.
"Lets go do some Slayer-y searching. And maybe go find Xander, cause he maybe a guy, who are totally of the bad right now, but we still need to warn him right? Right." With a nod she opened the door and stepped out, ready to go Faith hunting. Or something.
(OOC: So sorry for delay. LJ hates me and never emailed this to me.)
Buffy watched as Willow hopped around the room getting dressed. She waited at the door, leaning against it while Willow brushed her teeth and hair. At her question about the sister, she shrugged, "I guess if Giles is keeping her there until we find Faith and bring her, if we can find her, that is, then yeah, I guess we'll see her sister too."
As Willow suggested doing a spell, Buffy thought hard about any of Faith's she might have. The only thing she really had was her knife. Of course, that was probably at Giles'. She hadn't wanted to keep it in her possession after everything that happened. A little too ooky for her liking.
"Don't worry about it, Will," she told her friend with a small smile, "We may get lucky and find her on the way. Sunnydale isn't that big. And really, where is a person with amnesia really going to go? I think it'll be easier than we think. Or maybe that's just me being super optimistic."
She stood up straight and let Willow open the door, following her out and closing it behind them, making sure to lock it. She tended to forget since she was generally in a rush when she left. "I think keeping Xander out of this might be best," she said, biting her lip for a moment, "Last time he wanted to help, he almost got strangled to death, remember? I mean, I don't think she would remember doing that to him--and I didn't tell her about it--so, it might be better if he stays in his cozy little basement," she then frowned as they made their way out of the dorm building and into the sunshine, "Not that I want to put you in any danger, Will. I just think this is a delicate situation. And Xander, well, as much as I love him, he's not delicate when it comes to the Faith thing."
Oh he's already hoppin' about and then sleeping again. But as soon as he realizes he's being watches he's being 'poor little groggie'. Men are all the same!
