January is going fairly well. My resolutions to cook more and be more organized seem to be progressing, although I dropped quite a bit of cash today at Williams-Sonoma. I reorganized my cabinets, decided what I was lacking (specifically, a rolling pin, cake pans, and a whole lot of gourmet spices/flavored oils/awesome vanilla/etc), and splurged. Totally worth it. I just have this feeling that since I have whole sets of awesome cookwear (copper core pots, as well as Le Creuset bakewear from my mom, plus the Cuisinart, and then the new KitchenAid mixer), and the fact that the stuff I make is quite tasty, that I ought to cook more.
There won't be much cooking in the next few days, however, because someone decided to broadside the Beetle in the parking lot behind my building on campus, and I am 110% wrapped up in getting this taken care of. At least she has insurance, and it's fixable (I'm just glad it's not my $2500, and that I was not hurt.
Oh! Big Bear! Cabin was rented, snowboarding was perfected, and bruising was incurred. It turns out that I do not suck as much as I previously thought, but my toe-side turn leaves a lot to be improved. But, it was fun, and we drank on the bunny hill (yay flasks). I absolutely can't wait to go back.

Little winter vacation - two hours from Orange County!
I am holding Greg's board, Greg is holding Martin's, and I am not quite sure where mine was. Hmm.
