What a difference what some rest and recovery from a cold will do to you. I actually felt good in today's workout. My lungs still sucked, but I still have a bit of a cough, so I don't think my lungs have quite recovered from that bout yet. The rest of my body felt great, though, considering the crap I've put it through the last few days.
Today was my third attempt at Max Interval Circuit. It wouldn't be a far stretch for me to say that this was my best attempt at this workout. Of course, the first time, I wasn't prepared for it, while the second time I was still sick, so saying this was my best attempt is clearing a very low bar. But I cleared that bar and you can't take that away from me.
In Max Interval Circuit, there are four different intervals with three sets of each interval. Each set is broken up to four routines of 45 seconds each. After each set, there is a 30 second break. With the warm up and the cool down, that's an hour's worth of intense exercising. Most of these routines are a combination of some intense cardio, body weight resistance, and some jumping up and down. I hate the jumping up and down the most.
I think my body is finally getting used to the workouts, although I think I still sound like I'm dying of hyperventilation during them. I can't wait to finally get over this cough. That should really help with the sucking wind feeling.
45 days down.
