(no subject)
I moved this weekend. Moving up from an apt to a house :-D. It's kinda funny, I told one of my friends from Davis that I'm moving into a house, and he was kind of weirded out that I had ever NOT lived in a house. I guess it's more common to rent out houses in Davis than live in an apt. Just a curious aside to the whole living situation.
Anyways, pretty much everything's moved over (except my SHOES as I found out this morning ><). There's a lot still in boxes, it's going to take a couple of weeks to get everything unpacked and put away properly, due to the fact some things are still being worked on in the house. Also, no internet until Wed afternoon. Thank GOODNESS I have work internet.
The house is actually where I grew up. When I was in 4th grade, we moved to the current house my parents are in (for those of you who have seen it). My parents kept the original house, and have been renting it out. Pretty convienient how it all worked out, eh? So now I'm back in the old neighborhood. I've had several people come by when moving in to say hi, welcome back, and the like. It'll be kinda strange to actually know the neighbors again, esp. after years of living in LA where I never got to know a single neighbor.
It's gonna be a longer drive to work, and to swim in the mornings I'm gonna have to leave earlier (as if 5:15 wasn't early enough!). But, I'm 2 blocks from Folsom Lake! Yay for having a state park within walking distance. I'll be posting up pics of everything on one of the photo sites (and I'll throw the link up here). Also, in the coming months there should be some new scenery photos up on my picasa :-D.
