For all of you curious about the 49 spider bites, I was chopping / trimming trees / doing normal manual labor last weekend. We had a trunk of a Live Oak (look it up, it has multiple trunks) fall down (thankfully not on my truck this time) sometime last winter. We were looking to clear it as it was leaning on a few of the pine trees we had planted causing them to start growing sideways. Apparently a bunch of spiders had taken up residence in the tree, and as we were clearing they would periodically drop on me. Or in my gloves, or down my shirt. And spiders don't like being contained in close spaces and will bite to try and get their way out.
I'm okay, it just alternates between hurting / itching / wanting to shoot myself to end the pain, but I'll live. I don't think any of them were black widows or brown recluses.
And that's my life.
