Stuff
I haven't played Wii Fit in a month... still been eating sensibly but not really exercising at all. I put it on this morning, expecting to have gained a load of weight but I actually lost 2 lbs in that time. Not bad for making no effort at all. Now I'm one away from being in the ideal weight range. Wooo~
I got the new DLC for Fallout 3 so I've gotten back into that now.
I thought the Pitt was really confusing. I started doing it the 'good' way, kidnapped the baby, killed the mother and set all the trogs on to the uptown area but then I couldn't find where market square was and there were trogs and raiders everywhere. I couldn't be bothered to kill them all so I loaded it up again (I always keep loads of save files in case I screw up a speech challenge or Dogmeat dies or something) and didn't kidnap the baby this time. So then the game assumed that meant I was on the Raiders' side and I went out and all the slaves were attacking me! That's obviously the bad way and Junko is my good character, so I thought I'd try and see what happens if you kidnap the baby but don't kill anyone on your way out. So I did that, told Werhner to go away and gave the baby back to its mother. That worked out okay (neutral ending, I guess?) but Ashur's still the king, the slaves are still slaves and they didn't cure the mutations or anything... nothing changed, so I just may as well have not bothered going there!
None of the items are as cool as the Chinese Stealth Armour and none of the NPCs are as awesome as Benji. I think the only reason it seems longer than Anchorage is because of the "collect 100 steel ingots" achievement, and only then because I spent ages wandering around trying to find the last 7 before I gave up and looked on the interwebs. I'm not really using any of the new stuff... I might stick the Tribal armor on Charon next time I get bored with Fawkes/scared of his face. I wish you could dress Fawkes up... he should at least be able to wear a hat.
Oh, but "Man Opener" is probably the best name for a weapon that I have seen ever. It's too bad it's not very strong, otherwise it'd be my weapon of choice to hack up Ghouls. The yellow protectrons are cute too... it's probably just because I like robots, but they're one of my favourite things about the game. Especially Button, Deputy Weld and Shakes. Awwwwwwww. XD
Anyway, I'm around the right level to do Operation Anchorage with my bad character now so I'll probably see Benji tomorrow. Instead of writing my essay. >.> Or maybe I should wait for James to finish work, because he has it on PS3 and they don't get DLC so he's never seen all the glorious commie-killing. :P
I ran straight to vault 112 to find Dad on this playthrough; it's pretty awesome that you can do stuff like that... but then I decided to do the GNR quest anyway and I had to take on the Super Mutant Behemoth without the Brotherhood of Steel's help or the Fat Man. The strongest thing I had was three bottlecap mines and Jericho kept running in and getting killed so I kept having to load it up and lure him away... augggh. That was dumb, remind me never to do it again. Jericho also decided to blow me up in Farragut station where the lolobvious gasleak is. The one time when I actually remembered not to kill myself... thanks man. :P
I also think that Dad secretly prefers female PCs to male ones because he always gives you pet names like 'sweetie' or 'honey'. Skritch says it's because if you're a male then he calls you 'son' and calling you 'daughter' would sound stupid, but I think he must have always wanted a daughter and therefore loves you more if you are a girl. XD Haha. I love Dad. Dad is so legendary. Dad can fight a bear with only his fists. Dad killed Skritchy-boy's PC with a missile launcher. This time, Dad took on a Raider (who had a knife) and she surrendered and ran away from him... so he chased her and beat her to death. I was really shocked! He always seems so peaceful! :O
I still don't have anyone to really focus my fangirling on which makes me sad. There are good characters in it, like Vance, but no-one that I really squee over. I really hate it when I don't have something to obsess about. ;3;
