Description: As an Uchiha, Obito carries the typical traits, dark hair with navy-blues eyes and pale skin. His hair is naturally spiky, even more so when he wears the forehead protector of his village. He always wore a pair of goggles with orange-tinted lenses, only taking it off when he goes to sleep. His body type is lean and sleek, not overly muscular and has a few scars on his body, mostly either due to missions or training.
Personality: Constantly tardy, claiming a good deed as his excuse. Obito has a more carefree attitude to the rules than that of his team-mate and rival, Hatake Kakashi, which often leads to arguments between the two. Though a little stubborn, he’s not afraid to discard the rules when on a mission in order to save a team-mate. Obito would also lie just a little to get out of an uncomfortable situation or to just get out of trouble.
Obito had romantic feelings for his team-mate, Rin, though he didn’t reveal it to her, even when he was dying.
History: Born in the Uchiha Clan, Obito has been always regarded as the black sheep of his clan, mostly due to his lackluster skills in ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu. Graduated to Genin at the age of 9, where he was then placed in a team under Namikaze Minato’s tutelage. His team-mates were Rin, a kunoichi with skills in medical jutsu, and Hatake Kakashi, a genius within the village of Konohagakure. Kakashi and Obito never really gotten along, mostly due to Obito’s carefree attitude about the rules.
However, things would change during the Third Great Shinobi World War. Kakashi was promoted to Jounin and became in charge of the team, while their former teacher would go on a mission of his own. Their task? Take down a bridge to cut off support to the enemy while Minato would go and fight on the front lines. They travelled together until they reached the point where they needed to split up, the previous night Obito learned about Kakashi’s history from Minato and became more lenient towards the recently-promoted Jounin. Things were just not meant to be, Rin was captured by the enemy, Obito wanted to rescue her but he got into an argument with Kakashi on whether to continue on or leave the mission to rescue Rin.
This resulted in Obito going on his own, but not before leaving some very important words with Kakashi. “Those that don’t follow the rules are trash, but those that don’t support their friends, are even lower than trash.” Unbeknownst to Obito, this very set of words and his future actions would later change the very lifestyle of one Hatake Kakashi.
Obito tracked down the two Rock-nin responsible for capturing Rin, he was in the process of psyching himself up when he was attacked by one of them, who was able to hide himself via a camoflauge technique. He was saved when Kakashi arrived in the nick of time, having gained a change of heart by Obito’s words. Dealing with the Rock-nin however resulted in Kakashi losing his left eye, angered at himelf, Obito’s emotions allowed him to activate his kekkei-genkai, the sharingan. Coupled with this doujutsu, Obito was able to kill the Rock-nin due to him being able to see chakra and thus see through the technique that the Rock-nin was using. Now working together, Obito and Kakashi both confronted the last Iwagakure ninja, defeating him long enough for them to rescue Rin but this would be the only time it happened.
The Iwagakure nin used a technique that caused the cave that were in to collapse, boulders were raining down on the three and due to his new blindspot, a rock knocked Kakashi down. A boulder would’ve crushed him as well, if it wasn’t for Obito coming back and getting him out of the way.
This resulted in Obito being crushed himself, the entirety of the right side of his body was so crushed beneath the boulder, that he couldn’t even feel pain. There, he gave Kakashi his gift, one that he was suppose to give due to his promotion to Jounin but had forgotten, Obito gave Kakashi his sharingan eye. As he encouraged the others to flee, Obito wished that he had more time to spend with them, and wished that he could had told Rin what he felt for her.
Expecting to go on to some sort of afterlife, Obito was surprised to wake up in entirely new surroundings. Not only are his injuries healed completely, he regained his left eye, something implanted on his right wrist and he’s aged 5 years. Where is this place and why is he here? After having a private freak-out moment, Obito was promptly introduce to Val, who explained to Obito where is and what this place is about. Now stuck in the Dome, Obito could only hope that he can find a way to get back home.
