Just as I ordered Kisame to take care of the flies and ran a few more blocks down, I came across two certain jounins waiting for me.
Kakashi: "we knew you'd take this route Itachi. It ends here."
Gai: "Right! We're gonna finish where we left off at in Konoha!"
I sighed. "Gai-san, Kakashi-san. I don't have time for this" I replied. I suppose though, I can’t expect them to leave me alone and allow me to go free.
Kakashi : "Well... the Sharingan is usless in this matter.." and pulls his headband down.
Gai laughed and said "Just like old times 'eh Kakashi!"
Kakashi:"...eh.. *shrugs*"
Gai: "this ends here!"
Itachi vs KakaGai
Gai-san was the quickest to move. He swept his feet under me, forcing me to jump up in the mid-air. Kakashi-san was ready and did a high tornado kick, just so his eyes wouldn’t meet mine. However, I knew both you attack at once so I had arched and flipped backwards, forcing myself to land on my handstand, while I still hold on to Naruto-kun on my shoulder with my free hand.
After a few jumps back, I stop and look at both of them. This will not be an easy battle… I wouldn’t be able to use both my hands to make seals.
Gai-san, who was fast as lightening to be sure, was already on my side. I was ready to block, but he kicked too high. I dropped low to duck underneath him. However Kakashi-san was in my blind side, the side I was holding Naruto, with Chidori. I grabbed his hand before he hurled his electricity in me with my free hand. Quickly, I kick Kakashi-san in the stomach to send him flying.
By now Gai-san regained his form from his jump kick did a series of punches and kicks which I barely blocked. Then I had to jump away from both of them. As soon as I realized Kakashi-san hasn’t attacked at the same time as Gai-san, I felt a stab of pain as the earth below me shook.
Kakashi-san had taken that time to summon his little dogs. They came below me and bit through my flesh. In surprise, I dropped Naruto, which one of the bigger dogs grabbed by the collar of his orange clothes.
Though I was in a bit of pain, it wasn’t that much. I quickly got out a kunai and threw it at the insolent dog. And he puffed into a smoke and Naruto fell to the ground.
Itachi vs Kakashi
“It was a mistake to leave my hands empty” I said, as I stood bleeding. Naruto laid their crumpled between us. I knew one of them will go after him.
Gai jumped towards Naruto as Kakashi ran towards me with full speed, making sure his eyes are looking on the ground. As much as I wished to grab Naruto before Gai-san, Kakashi was upon me in our engagement.
With a throw of few shurikens, Kakashi-san conveniently blocked my attempt at going towards Naruto. Then Kakashi whipped out a kunai. He tried with one kunai in his hand to swipe across my face so I decided to block it with a kunai of my own. While blocking, Kakashi-san used his other hand to create a chidori. This time, to hurl it at me in close range.
What a tactic to be expected from the genius Kakashi-san…
I took the blow, the chidori, full on my chest, though his hand did not penetrate through me. As the electrical current flew all across me, I grabbed Kakashi-san’s wrist that held the chidori.
“Now, you can’t run away from me either, Kakashi-san” I said softly, through my quivering lips.
“You… You took the blow just to… You sadistic…!” Kakashi-san’s voice was cut off. Because he could not avoid looking at me directly in the face. In order to aim at my chest, he had to have his eyes open for a split second. It was enough.
“Tsukiyomi, Mange-Sharingan!”
And for 24 hours, I tortured his body inside my mind. If I did more, I might not have the strength to fight Gai-san so I refrained myself.
Afterwards, Kakashi-san’s body grew limp. I too, was feeling the weakness in my knees from his chidori.
However, I saw that Gai-san had already gotten near Naruto-kun. I threw Kakashi-san’s body across the air at Gai-san.
The End
Gai-san had reached Naruto. However, to break Kakashi-san’s fall, Gai-san already ran towards kakashi-san to grab him while carrying Naruto-kun.
That was his mistake.
Naruto was in his hands, the goal and my mission, and both his hands were full now.
As I threw Kakashi-san, I ran in his shadows to Gai-san. He was still ready for me. He was smart enough to know I’d attack. However, he was not ready for me to have my hands free with a seal ready.
As he grabbed Kakashi-san’s limp body, I released “Chun-gi-pa!”* though not as powerful as chidori, it would give back the electrical current that was running through my body.
Gai-san grew limp and fell. I sighed as I silently gazed at the two fallen jounins.
I picked up Naruto-kun, and slung him over my shoulders once more.
