Nothing much has happened. Perhaps. Though since we've reached a certain village, we've been resting for awhile.
I was at a bar drinking sake alone when he came in.
"Well, well, old friend. I was looking for you." He said. I ignored him. I never had considered him an "old friend."
He came and sat next to me casually as if nothing happened. He ordered sake too. I didn't move from him since I didn't mind his company.
"So were you and Kisame able to find the Samehada?" he asked after a few sips.
I didn't answer.
"Oh. Well, sorrry to pry." He chuckled and went on drinking.
After awhile he asked, perhaps to break the peaceful silence, "How's your new mission doing?"
"Taking a break as we wait for the correct time..." I finally spoke.
He smirked to hear my voice. And we both silently finished our drinks.
