With insomnia, nothing's real. Everything is far away.

Hello all. I'm Kelley, a 17-year-old from Huntington, West Virginia, and I'll be attending U of C this year. I'm thinking an English major with a minor in mathematics or a physics major with a specialization in astrophysics--I'm all over the place. Anyway, I happened to stumble upon this in my insomnia, so I thought I'd join up and say 'Howdy'--but only figuratively, as I don't think I have ever uttered the word 'howdy' with a straight face.

Sorry for the tangent. I'm really much more coherent when I've slept.

Is anyone else from the Ohio Valley area? Or even the South, I suppose, though I really don't think of myself as a Southerner (my first criterion in choosing a college was that it must be north of the Mason-Dixon)? Or, barring that, has anyone heard of Huntington? We're the second-largest city in the state, not that that means anything--people actually got excited when they put in a Starbucks. Currently, though, Matthew McConaughey is in town filming a movie, so everyone has gone BATSHIT INSANE trying to catch a glimpse of him. God help us when Matthew Fox shows up, too. Unh.

Sorry about the second wild tangent. Please remember it's 3:00 am, and give me the benefit of the doubt. And now, after having guaranteed my status as a social leper/hobo bag lady, I'll slink off into the dark.
