Being that I have read dozens of philosophical works and everyone else is writing their ideas i am gonna wax philosophical too Here are some Vetere axioms, entirely from my own head, so they may be wrong.. but probably not
-There can be no happiness without a knowledge of unhappiness.
-Those who feed on the past have no taste for the present.
- It is in our simplest moments where we are most content.
- You can never make others 100% happy since the very idea of complete happiness is unattainable.
- Friendship is best calculated using quality of time spent in the formula, not hours of time spent
- Love is abundantly available, but since we are bombarded with it so much each day, we have grown immune to its potency.
- Love is well above the capacities of the human mind, luckily, however, the heart is capable of feeling. Love is not known, it is felt.
- We often lose sight of the forest by focusing on a broken twig.
It is nearly 5am! These may be tired ramblings.. let me know. Oh but here is my favorite quote of all-time.
"Although, therefore, people generally determine everything by their pleasure, many more advantages than disadvantages arise from their common union. It is better, therefore, to endure with equanimity the injuries inflicted by them, and to apply our minds to those things which subserve concord and the establishment of friendship." -Spinoza
Good night...
