The second game of the season was a whole lot better than the first. We defeated the White Sox 8-2 to exact revenge for their 10-4 beating of us on Sunday night. Jake Westbrook was in midseason form, infact other than one mistake to Jim Thome and obvious fatigue in the 7th inning (I felt like we should have pulled him after 6) he was nearly perfect. Everybody in the lineup got a hit, although Grady Sizemore still looks pretty rusty. Aaron Boone (who had a hell of a day 4-5 with a HR and 4 RBIs) and Casey Blake looked very sharp as opposed to the start they had last season. Finally, the bullpen appeared to control the end of the ballgame very well and looked much better than Sunday night. I hope that Boone and Blake stay productive all year, if we get great production out of the bottom of our lineup all year we'll be very hard to beat.
